Miss Niger looks like a princess but why the hell is her name Ibo/south-eastern? Same goes for Miss Kwara!
Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by Rhodalyn(f): 11:50am On Mar 06, 2006
miss lagos, miss akwa and miss niger are beauyiful but the rest are toooooooooo dark!

hey bluenubian, goodluck to your sister
Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by uniben82(f): 12:37pm On Mar 06, 2006
Seun, she is what she is.  Her name is her name.  What is wrong with an Ibo/south eastern name anyway? Does it really matter? I sincerely hope the intent of your response was humor with a sarcastic twist.

Rhodalyn, for what it’s worth, I’m still scratching my head; trying to make sense of your mind boggling statement.  “ miss lagos, miss akwa and miss niger are beauyiful but the rest are tooooooooo dark”  So, the others are not  beautiful because they are dark skinned…right? You can’t be serious! shocked

no no no, i guess you misunderstood me i aint saying they're not goodlooking because they're dark-skinned they're just not nice to me
Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by Seun(m): 12:51pm On Mar 06, 2006
Beauty is subjective. You don't need to criticize Rhodalyn for expressing her own personal taste. You can just express yours, too. Charcoal for life, abi? The problem is that I'm light-skinned and this gives me the same bias.

I appreciate the fact that I get to stare at these scantily-clad south-eastern beauties and download their pictures for further scientific scrutiny. I don't understand how they can be from "Kwara" and "Niger" state, but I'm definitely not complaining! cheesy

Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by Skidoc(m): 1:06pm On Mar 06, 2006
And Miss Oyo too, and Miss Ekiti too. They all have Ibo names. Where are all the Yorubas?

Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by Seun(m): 2:06pm On Mar 06, 2006
Don't you get it? Ibo girls are the prettiest! That's just it! In addition, pretty yoruba girls are usually also rich and they do not "degrade" themselves by entering beauty pageants. Family members discourage them from participating, just like the last Miss Nigeria who was a yoruba girl confessed.
Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by Grizzly(m): 2:22pm On Mar 06, 2006
@ Seun, what u mean "Degrade 'emselves", ? angry Thats not a fair way to speak considering the fact that one of ur fellow nairalanders who started this thread got a sissy contesting. angry
Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by Skidoc(m): 2:32pm On Mar 06, 2006
Well Grizzly, that's the fact. Take it or leave it. It's degrading.
Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by nightrider: 3:14pm On Mar 06, 2006
how is it degrading, when Agbani won most beautiful girl werent we proud of her. How was that in any way degrading.
That Girl did more for Nigeria's foreign image than all onsanjo's travelling did.
Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by uniben82(f): 3:22pm On Mar 06, 2006
I guess somethings in life never change.  Entering a beauty pageant is degrading? Wow- only in Nigeria!! By the way Seun, my statement to Rhodalyn was intended as a simple question, seeking clarification or answer.  It was not a criticism by any stretch of the imagination. Have a nice day! smiley

whyy are there so many igbo girls from yourbaish states and some other states not igbo like?
Re: Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006 by panthress(f): 8:28pm On Mar 06, 2006
rhodalyn wht do u mean too dark. r u llight skined or something or r u one of those who r into light skinned being beautiful, dats ridiculous. i personally think the dark-skinned girls there r the most beautiful. beauty is structure of bones, shape of face eyes not freekin skin color.
