Just do as they have said but keep reminding them it is for admission form. Yes, you will pay with a deposit slip and they will give you a print out.

Visit this site and read the details http://www.noun.edu.ng/Procedure.html

@ramsey, there are unverified info that will start using Jamb for the next admission process. But that will not be a hindrance, an average jamb score will be good enough

Re: National Open University Of Nigeria 2011/2012 by jmoore(m): 9:19pm On Jun 20, 2012
15,500 is compulsory fees ,you pay that at the beginning of each new session (first semester), then register (2,000 for 2units and 2,500 for 3units) your courses and exams (1,000/course ) later. At the beginning of its second semester you pay N2,500 as compulsory fees and register your courses and later exam reg.

On the average you should budget about 55,500 naira(first semester/new session) and 35,500 naira (2nd semester)

The form is 5,000 naira, the last time I checked

@Jmoore please lets be sure oof the information we give out to people onhere concerning studies at the Open University Noun,
Noun students dont serve, i mean go for NYSC, FOR MORE Information please visit thier site http://www.nysc.gov.ng/faq.php

As at today, Part-time/Sandwich/Long-distance/Open University Graduates are excluded from participation in the National Service and will be given Letters of Exclusion. It is fraudulent to smuggle your name with the regular fulltime students

To me such policies from government isnt wise for why should foreign graduates be given oppourtunity to serve.nysc why, those who studied here at home shall nt be allowed for nysc, to me its not wise, if i were u guys i better go to study abroad so that at the end of the day i can be allowed for nysc

NYSC certificate is very much important in the employment market for companies request for it, most companies dont create oppourtnities for those without NYSC ESPECIALLY Government owned institutions(government jobs) of which theres job security

i ll rather go study abroad other than Distance learning, though to most individual there are different reasons for wanting to do distance learning, some just need more knowledge and certificate so they can add it up to thier existing work experience, apply for work promotion and other reasons

But anyways people follow your heart but also be well informed before you start any journey on this

These are my own toughts , i stand to be corrected though

All da Best
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria 2011/2012 by jmoore(m): 6:05pm On Aug 31, 2012
@kwenu my info is based on what my school told me. I am not after NYSC because I intend to be selfemployed.

Yeah they could have said that to you anyway, cos same information new was given to me the last time i visited there office at Agidingbi Ikeja, one of the lecturers confirmed it to me but when i visited NYSC site, then i saw different answer. also NOUN website did not tell us or mentioned about NYSC
PLS whats your study centre if i may ask?
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria 2011/2012 by jmoore(m): 11:07pm On Aug 31, 2012
@kwenu I got the info from their online brochure and not from the study centre. Anyways my centre is in umudike, Abia state
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria 2011/2012 by kwenu: 8:03pm On Sep 03, 2012
ok heres another evidence to prove u right anyways , NOUN says http://www.nounonline.com/nouwshome/faqs.php#6

now i know not whos right or wrong on these, wether nysc or noun

NYSC is saying NO
NOUN is saying YES
