Should I Pick D Job Offer? by ROLLIN(f): 10:20am On Oct 27, 2011
I ‎A̶̲̥̅♏ a fresh graduate of computer science (yaba coledge of technology) iv been home for 4mnths now which is drivin me crazy, av been gettin markettin job offers though but iv been rejecting it due to deir work condition. Of recent, I got a bank Job dt want to employ me as a contract staff with my OND result (knwin too well dat I av HND and av completed NYSC) dey told b dats d vacancy dey av, and d salry is 40k. ‎A̶̲̥̅♏ confused, dnt knw if I suld pick d job pendin d tym I get a better one, I lik d department tough (human resources) but ‎A̶̲̥̅♏ scared if I'll b given a chance to go for ani job interview/test if any one comes my way. Suld I just chill at home and hope for a good job, or get dis 40k job while I hope for a better one?

Trust me dude, sitting at home is negating your chances of getting something better. HR job in a bank @40k is a lot if l must tell you the truth cause l know banks that pay min 15k-30k to contract staff who work themselves out in the name of marketing.
My advice? Take the job pending when the 'so called interview or test invite' will come cause if it hasnt since the past four months of your sitting at home, it might not in the next 6 months(no insult intended pls) just being realistic. Being in the system, the tendency of gaining a greater leverage especially regarding vacancies internal and in sister banks is there; moreso, you will also gain 'experience' which is what most coys look out for these day.
All the best.
Cheers!

PICK D JOB, EXPECT A FUTURE RAISE IN THE JOB BY HOPING FOR THE ''BETTER JOB'' YOU ARE LEVERAGING. BUT WHEN THE BETTER JOB COMES DO NOT QUIT THIS ONE; IF YOU ARE NOT SURE OF THE SI-ROTA BELIEF, THREE FACTOR THEORY, COLD WAR IN CUSTOMERS ENGAGEMENT AND POWER SHIT BETWEEN THE EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE VERY EXPEDIENT.
