Bulls$$t, this is just another lie by some despirate fool(s).
I've just visited the homepage of Heute.at and perform a search with minister's name and no match was made.
Please, NLer do some research before posting comments, we know Nigerian politicians are corrupt, but it's equally bad to wrongly accuse anyone.

Re: Allison Madueke Buys €20M Mansion In Vienna - Saharareporters by 29Ade07: 8:05pm On Nov 09, 2011
Funny indeed. Tried Google translator of the Austrian headline and I got this :MINISTER OF STARVING COUNTRY BUYS A  20-MILLION -VILLA IN VIENNA.
I do not want to cast aspersion on her personality but have always been a bit skeptical about her ministerial appointment ever since when she was made the Minister of transport. Being a women you might have thought she would be different
I would say that this should be rightly investigated and if true should be adequately dealt with.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA

See how ignorance eats up the so-called future of a Nation According to MERRIAM WEBSTER DICTIONARY

civil servant noun
plural ∼ -vants
[count] : a person who works for the government : a person who works in the civil service
http://www.learnersdictionary.com/search/civil%20servant

public servant noun
plural ∼ -vants
[count] : a government official or employee

http://www.learnersdictionary.com/search/Public%20Servant

Yet even with this PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE and NON-COUNTRY SPECIFIC definition provided for the two, some village champion thinks simply INSULTING his way into winning, will make him stand out smart. Are you kidding me? na so your people raise you reach??
Re: Allison Madueke Buys €20M Mansion In Vienna - Saharareporters by yemmyyy(m): 10:09pm On Nov 09, 2011
The issue here is not whether the minister is a civil or a public servant. However, either the story is true or not we all know that CORRUPTION THRIVES IN NIGERIA, it is our collective responsibility to drive these greedy politicians into the woods come 2015. STAND UP NIGERIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Allison Madueke Buys €20M Mansion In Vienna - Saharareporters by Nobody: 10:50pm On Nov 09, 2011
Unfortunately, many have failed to realize
the differences between public and civil
service. Public office holders are either
elected or appointed on distinct criteria to
exercise government functions on tenured
or on non- tenure basis. Their administrative
positions in the public service are more of
executive or directive authority, with
enormous power and influence to
transform the life of the nation, which at the
same time can be used for self-
aggrandizement.
The chairman, who is expected to know the
constitution in-and-out, made a cheap,
unpardonable mistake of ignorantly citing
the Salary and Wages Commission, which
determines the pay of only civil servants as
the determinants of the new package. There
is always this erroneous assumption on the
constitutional provision of whose
responsibility it is to determine the salaries
and allowances of public office holders,

It might be the same in Ohio but different in Nigeria. I was trying to help you out by putting "IN NIGERIA" in capital latters for you. You will be making mockery of youself if you quote any crab without putting "NIGERIA" in mind. Please, dont draw me back. I wrote my WAEC many years ago.

It is a standard law in Austria even if you are from other European countries, you cant buy a house in their country. They are the only country doing that nonsense in Europe, the news must be deliberate attempt to smear her name and it might be one of those oil companies that is behind it.They must have known that Nigerians will buy anything that portray their leaders as thieves but they got it all wrong with this story because there is no truth in it.No foreigner Can own a house in Austria!
Re: Allison Madueke Buys €20M Mansion In Vienna - Saharareporters by Nobody: 11:14pm On Nov 09, 2011
While the article provides some insight
into the on-going public service reforms in
Nigeria, it is important to point out the
confusion over the use of the words ‘civil
service’ and ‘public service’. The author
appears to use the two words
interchangeably. Yet, they do not mean the
same thing. For example, the assertion that
“public service is driven by public officers
who are either elected or appointed and is
managed by civil servants who are
employed through a rigorous recruitment
exercise”, is confusing. How can the public
service be managed by civil servants only? It
is important to note that the term ‘civil
service’ in the Nigerian context refers to the
service within government ministries and
departments charged with the responsibility
of implementing public policies. On the
other hand, ‘public service’ refers not only to
service within government departments and
ministries but also, in parastatals, police
force and armed forces. Therefore, while all
civil servants are public servants, not all
public servants are civil servants. The focus
of the entire article is on the civil service. The
correct title of the article in my opinion
should be : ‘Reforming the Nigerian civil
service’.

The good news, though, is that buying property as a foreigner is a lot easier than it used to be. Until quite recently, only Austrians were allowed to own property in Austria without a lot of special permissions
