As a Chelsea supporter, what I notice is something to do with the maturity of the club! before 2005 Chelsea hasnt won the league title since 1955. but now winning the title regularly seems great but maintaining that success is a major factor,

for example, Look at when Fergie let Van Nistelrooy and Roy Keane go, at Chelsea would give them an extention contract or an improved contract! Honestly when you look at European powerhouses in football, players like Terry, Lampard, Drogba, Anelka etc would be sold but Chelsea kept them on now they are those are the highest earners with creeky bones, its like looking at the nigerian national team
