Arsenal go in search of a fifth straight Premier League win as they travel to newly-promoted Norwich City on Saturday, live on ESPN 2 at 0730 EST.

• Hubbard: Lambert's Canaries flying high

The Gunners have overcome a testing start to the 2011-12 campaign to string together an encouraging run of results, the most recent of which saw Arsene Wenger's men ease to a 3-0 triumph over West Bromwich Albion.

Arsenal's scalp of the Baggies sees the club seventh in the table, level on points with Liverpool, while a defeat of Norwich this weekend would take them to the same total as Tottenham, although their North London rivals at present boast a game in hand.

Norwich, meanwhile, are ninth in the division, the club having suffered a 3-2 loss to Aston Villa prior to the international break. Indeed, that defeat left the Canaries with one victory in their previous five league fixtures. In spite of the slump, manager Paul Lambert was encouraged by his team's display at Villa Park, although six goals leaked in their last two matches spells concern, particularly as Arsenal boast the flying Dutchman Robin van Persie.

Van Persie has been in devastating form for the Gunners this year, scoring 29 goals in 28 Premier League matches in 2011, and he should be fresh after returning from international duty early as part of an agreement between Netherlands and Arsenal.

Wenger looks set to be without left-back Kieran Gibbs for an extended period following reported hernia surgery, while long-term absentees Jack Wilshere, Bacary Sagna and Abou Diaby remain sidelined.

Regarding Wenger's selection, it will be intriguing to discover if Per Mertesacker - the German possibly wary of his place in Germany's Euro 2012 squad - remains on the bench, with Thomas Vermaelen and Laurent Koscielny now seemingly the side's first-choice centre-back pairing.

Norwich player to watch: Anthony Pilkington. Pilkington is Norwich's top goalscorer in the Premier League this season, with four strikes to his name. Indeed, three of those have come in his last four games for the Canaries. Pilkington, 23, is an attack-minded player who operates as a winger. The youngster could be deployed on the left, where he will come up against Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson, whose inexperience could be targeted.

Arsenal player to watch: Aaron Ramsey. In the absence of the sold Cesc Fabregas and injured Jack Wilshere, much of the creative burden at the heart of Arsenal's midfield has fallen on the Welshman's young shoulders. And in ten Premier League starts this season, Ramsey has notched four assists for his team-mates, demonstrating his growing influence and importance to Arsenal. Ramsey plays as the most advanced of Arsenal's midfield trio, and Norwich must be sharp to restrict the space he will strive to drift into.

Key Battle: John Ruddy v Robin van Persie
. Ruddy's shot-stopping has caught the eye this season. At Anfield in particular last month Ruddy made a number of brilliant saves to earn his side a famous point. This Saturday, Ruddy comes up against one of the most deadly finishers in the business. A repeat of Ruddy's heroics at Liverpool may be necessary if Norwich are to earn at least a point from this fixture.

Trivia: The last three Premier League meetings between Arsenal and Norwich have seen the Gunners score at least four times and concede one goal on each occasion.

Stats: Arsenal have only kept one clean sheet in their last 12 Premier League away games, but only one team has stopped them scoring in their last 15 away trips.
