• Select / Start of the project too late. Send your completed project on time and start the project as soon as you can. The longer you leave the harder it is to motivate, especially when all your friends seems to be on a fly. You should aim to have complete a significant portion of the project by the end of the spring semester.
• Failure to comply with your supervisor regularly. If you arrange a meeting with the supervisor, up to the agreed time. If you are stuck for some reason and you have no organized meeting with him or her immediately. Do not get sympathy from anyone if you lose contact with your supervisor and a project to produce a bad result. Your supervisor will be happy to help, but they can if they are not aware that you are in trouble.
• Allow enough time for the report. You should try to produce as much of your report you as you go, even if you do not know in advance its exact structure. The last two weeks of the project should be devoted to gathering the material you have accumulated to produce a final product. You can spend time improving the application after sending the report.
• Do not schedule a fallback position if the proposed work is not completed on time. Try to plan your project in stages, so that if things go wrong at a later stage you have completed the first step to fall again.
• Try to satisfy the external customer at the expense of your grades. Do not let any outside interests interfere with your work. Guidelines for the project should come from your head, not your future employer.
• Over / Under Ambition. Try to be realistic about what can be achieved in the time available. Good design requires a great effort and you are technically challenging for all. At the same time, however, it is better to make the work of small and what he is doing a great job at all. Your manager will advise you of his expectations for the project and this will help you determine the sights accordingly.
