Great step. This mall is virtually completed and some stores are now trading, like Shoprite etc. Enugu needs at least 2 more standard malls though, but that's a  matter of time.

But it's a huge mall though. Look at the size of the guy in front of it!  grin

Let use the same logic  - Some ediiotts used on the commission of the Ikeja Mall

Whatever anyone says, the delivery of these malls should be commended . Governors like Chime, Fashola et al should be praised for their work that sees Private Mall builders attracted to certain States. Feasibility studies would have been done to establish business viability. Employment is created for indigenes and of course the State benefit from taxes paid. Win-win for everyone.

The only thing that surprised me was the patronage. Hundreds of cars parking and leaving the extra large car park with huge purchases, come see Independence layout millionairs face to face, see rich wives from New haven and spoilt kids from Trans Ekulu trying desperately to outbuy each other. The line for payment is so long you may spend 10 mins waiting for your turn to pay. Na wao!! Enugu is moving up.

Point of correction. The Ikeja project was a huge scam;the two projects are almost totally similar in size and design, however whilst the Enugu project was delivered by NTC at a cost of 5.9 billion naira(inclusive of all the kicks;back and front),the Ikeja job was built by G.Cappa at a cost of 16 billion naira.

The two firms by the way are both Italian firms

Lovely. I see Shoprite being the Tesco of Nigeria soon. Except the lack of competition from Asda, Sainsburys, Morrissons, Waitrose and etc. Nigeria is a ripe land for investors to make so much money. I hope to tap into the "blessings" too.

I also noticed a Gucci store in the last picture. That's amazing smiley
