Fellow NLers, I have been offered an hp635 wit 2GB RAM, AMD Dual-Core E350, 1.8Ghz, windows 7 starter. I want to know if it will be good for autocad and archicad applications? or should I request for a higher one? (Budget is tight though but I dont tink my bro will splash plenty for me)

how much did you get it? Though I suggest you go for a higher processor because of the graphics that will be involved in using autocad. Core i3 minimum should do

I dont do graphics, but I think a laptop with a discrete graphics processors should suffice.

And as for the OS, windows 7 starter? I doubt your autocad would install. This is a very limited version of the OS. Check the out the AutoCAD's System Requirements, and googling would show users complaints about the pair.

a dual2core of 2.0 up and 3gb of ram with a discrete video card of 512mb memory can handle those apps well. if u want very impressive graphics handling then pursue that with 1gb or more.ad yea, the amd is sweet but i prefer the intel specs for intense graphics.
u just get a laptop with 1gb video memory,2gb ram(at least) and 2.0ghz intel processor. would line u up to one when i get down,

Hello fellow NL. I based in europe and i want to ship computers to Nigeria market. Please, i want to know how much is a complete set of computer? How much in the market is monitir(by inches), cpu, keyboard, mouse and what brand is mostly marketable in Nigeria markets? What printers, i mean home use and for business use is selling fast e.g hp, canon, samsung etc? Please, i will really appreciate a honest and straight forward answers from my brothers in Nigeria. And, i want to ask again, clothes is it a contra-ban in Nigeria?
