As a Nigerian, If u have the chance to leave the country and study and also work abroad, and the options given were south africa or the uk, which would u select? And what are ur reasons?

   South Africa and the UK are not in same league, UK rules in everything, the only thing that i can say South Africa beats the UK is in crimes

I don't know about the UK but in South Africa unskilled and semi-skilled jobs are hard to get because there is a over supply of labour hence the high unemployment. So the chances of you getting a general job in SA will be near impossible unless you know people who know people. There are plenty of skilled jobs though so if you are a engineer, accountant, software developer and so on it shouldn't be that difficult to find work. SA is importing skilled labour from all over the world - Cuban doctors, Zimbabwean teachers, UK/German engineers, Indian IT specialists and so on

   My friend, that site report says: "World Top Ten Countries With Highest Reported Crime Rates", not countries with the highest crime rate. The word "reported" means a whole lot, that is the only reason that Nigeria did not come out in first position knowing that even in these mentioned countries, Nigerians are participating and contributing in their crime activities and measurement.
   Beat your own Dog in the UK, and you're on news the same day, but kill a poor man in Nigeria, the Police would not even hear of it:
   For the fact that South Africa covers the majority of its low profile crimes and yet, it come out in 7th position, that means, if every crime is reported there like in the UK, South Africa would come out in second position after Nigeria

You made a foolish statement that SA beats the UK in crime, I then provided you with simple stats and now you trying to defend your unresearched blunder by postulating. The truth is that South Africa has one of the highest murder per capita rates(total murders divide by total population) in the world and it is this unfortunate little statistic that western and also South African media use to paint SA as the worst crime capital. Please read through the article provided to see that the UK is not so rosy.
