yea bro bunch of young bloods making baseless arguments that was how one said kawhi is 9th in all time scoring and an 8th all time steals leader. grin grin grin ;DD I laugh.

I think Roland17 meant for the Spurs...

And yes, I really do agree Kawhi has done more than enough to have his shirt retired.

That's if he doesn't pull a Kyrie...

Tracy macgrady last night was inducted in the NBA hall of fame.one of my favorite players,he was one of the best players to not win a championship.did u know that there was a time when people argued about him being better than Kobe Bryant.but injuries ship wrecked his career just like Drose.one of the saddest stories in NBA history.

wao! I missed that. the way this guy played was beautiful smiley

He didnt win a ring because of injuries - Tmac could take over any game at any time (he schooled Kobe every time they matched up, EVERY TIME), but he could never sustain his mental edge game after game. I love what this guy did in Sudan some years back

all the top 10 NBA players in the league right now have done enough for their jerseys to be retired but not all of them are SURE Hall of famers.

I am very happy someone else exposed your ignorance and haste at arguing without comprehension before you tried to cover your shame by hiding your post with a smily, rather than apologizing at your mistake.

We all live in the same world, however, with different expectations and implications. I have a whole lot to lose than you or anyone for that matter would ever gain by indulging in insulting/ irresponsible arguments online or in the real world. (folks who know me outside here know what I am speaking about). I am not a conformist, so I hope you understand.

If you don't have fact ladened arguments stop being too emotional. Throughout this argument, I have accorded you a lot of respect devoid of name calling, if you use irresponsible and insults to argue with me again, I would ignore you going forward.

Let me help you once more with this inference. Not every great player would make the hall of fame, however does that mean they were not great? Some players have their jerseys hanging on the rafters however, they are not hall of famers. Also, the greatness of a player in his stats is first recognized with the teams he plays for or played for.

I have burdened you with facts on why Kawahi is already a great player with the Spurs and by extension the NBA, however, it has been a roller coaster ride for you to prove otherwise with facts.

At 26,

1X NBA Championship
1X FMVP
2X DPOTY
2x All Star selection
2x NBA 1st team selection
3x NBA defensive 1st team selection
9th All time scoring leader
8th All time in steals
7th All time in 3 points made
Franchise player of the Spurs.
10th All time in points from the freebie lane
Ranked top 10 on almost every list for Spurs greatest.

Thanks.

Let me help you again as you keep shooting yourself.

A lack of comprehension skill causes misinterpretation of statements which alters the idea behind an argument, invariably leads to misplaced fact, and when facts are misplaced, arguments become illogical because the initial premise is a misinterpretation of statement.

Makes sense?

If you read closely you would see where I talked about greatness and the hall of fame.

As far as facts go, "No current NBA player is in the hall of fame, however, some of the current players are already great players for their respective teams and the league". Consequently, the argument about the hall of fame is irrelevant considering they are still active, however, greatness can be argued right now based off their rank and stats in the league.

Question: Is any current NBA player in the hall of fame?

If no, then, it is a futuristic argument which would be determined by the players greatness, which is hinged on their current stats. Invariably, if Kawahi is already ranked amongst the top 10 greatest Spurs of all time and boasts of the stats and awards I mentioned above, then, his greatness in the current NBA is unquestionable irrespective of your opinion.

Take your time to read.. Makes sense?

Brook lopez_ hez a top 10 Brooklyn nets player of all time. And guess what he is their all time leading scorer in points, hez their all time leader in blocks,2nd in free throws made, and first overall in minutes and games played.hez got ur stats ain't he

brook Lopez has done enough for his jersey to be retired which will surely bb retired. But guess what

tHAT is only in Brooklyn
Can he be called an NBA great.
hEZ not even a top 180 player of all time
But wait doesnt he got d stats
The NBA is more than brookyln bro

Same with kawhi, the NBA is more than spurs bro.
And he has to make significant impact in the game. not just appearing on a team's top ten.

Kawhi my friend as I've repeatedly said hez good but not a great yet.

Everyone is entitled to his opinion tho

Let me help you again.

The premise of this argument is hinged on the parameter used to describe Kawahi. You used GOOD to describe, infact you degenerated to using PROMISING to describe Kawahi. I disagreed, using facts to state Kawahi is already a great player in the NBA. Owing to a lack of comprehension you construed "Great" to mean "Hall of fame" which I have helped you differentiate.

Again, you are keep going on this roller coaster rides, first D.Rose, then Iggy, now Brook Lopez, not forgetting that you used probably to question Ginobli and Parkers greatness.

Brook Lopez would be regarded as a Brooklyn net great, however, in comparison to Kawahi has his greatness helped the Nets achieve anything? What are his individual NBA records which is hinged on his stats with the Nets. Does Lopez's stat elevate him to NBA achievements like top 7?

Kawahi would appear on everyone's Top 7 list and that includes your own list and that is why he is a great NBA player because his stats transcends his team.

I am not desputing the fact DAT kawhi is a legitimate top 6 player I was only making a constructive argument wit u by listing some of the NBA players who have had similar stats and acheived similar feats like kawhi and yet are not considered greats.the closest was Drose who is also a chicago bull top 10 all time player.but yet not considered a great.

Being a top ten in d league right now doesn't imply greatness.
Drose was a top 5 player back in 2010 and 2011 but yet he is not considered a great now, u urself confirmed it.

Greatness in d NBA can only b established with consistency year in year out ,making significant impact in your team and the league in general.
Drose was able to do that for only 3 easons until d injuries came in.

I also gave an example of JOEL EMBId who was a sure rookie of the year winner until the injuries deprived him.

These analogies were only to butress my points about kawhi.I don't c how they are in any way off track.

The root of d whole matter is this as I've earlier said, kawhi has good stats but not enough to be called a great, hez good but if he retired now would hez stats b enough to call him a great player not just as a spurs player but an NBA player In general.

Both of them aren't scrubs they don prove their worth for this league. Dion in particular,is on the rise.

give kyrie the ball and stick bron on the wing. na great coaching be that.

When kyrie shows his a great playmaker and a willing passer,we'll call him that.
Noel is being greedy. He was offered his production level. And the market for him is not great so that's the key. The important fact with Rose is there was no news of him turning down better offers to play for the Cavs else he wouldn't have settled for a veteran minimum at 29. No need for long yarning in a matter of months we would see who is the better passer between him and Derrick Rose

Stop running heater skelter and dispute the facts below. Tell the world how a player with such stats is merely a good player, worse still a promising player.

All the players you have used examples have nothing, absolutely nothing on Kawahi. From Rose, to Iggy, to Embiid, to Lopez. Who is next?

Simply dispute he facts below as not great worthy in today's NBA.

1x NBA Championship
1X FMVP
2X DPOTY
2x All Star selection
2x NBA 1st team selection
3x NBA defensive 1st team selection
9th All time scoring leader
8th All time in steals
7th All time in 3 points made
Franchise player of the Spurs.
10th All time in points from the freebie lane
Ranked top 10 on almost every list for Spurs greatest.

Kawahi did not become a great player last season. Did he stumble on multiple individual awards and records in one season?

Has he been a top 7 player in the league over the past 5 seasons when he amassed these awards and stats?

Dispute the stats above.

Today, would Jordan describe Kawhi as Good or Great? don't forget he recently called him a great player and the best 2 way player in the league that has Bron, Durant, George, and Butler

Today, would Kobe describe Kawhi as Good or Great?

Today, would Bron describe Kawhi as Good or Great?

Would NBA coaches describe Kawhi as Good or Great?

How many current and retired NBA players describe Kawhi today?

NFL in a bit.. Very optimistic about the chances of the mighty Steelers. Martavis is back! Still praying they cut that bum Sammie Coates but landing Joe Haden was real savvy! Pats vs Chiefs tonight!

Too much off the field issues with the bumble bees for me. From L. Bell's preseason stand off, to the uncertainty surrounding Big Ben future after this season, to not really knowing what to expect from Bryant after the one year suspension and A. Brown's immaturity. I am worried there is just too much distraction in the locker room.

Naah the Steelers would be fine. Bell has no choice but to flat out ball if he wants to get paid big and everybody has moved past the AB incident. Martavis is a bit more tricky but he would also need to play well to secure his future. My worry was at Tight End but it looks like the Outlaw Jesse James has it on lock. My hope is for our young defence to blossom this year and our 1st round pick TJ Watt is already showing that sacks run in the family.

But are the top ten players right now established hall of famers. if they were to retire now are all of em sure hall of famers undecided
Get my point dude.kawhi is good,an established superstar on the path to "greatness" if hez consistent, but hez not there yet.

JOEL EMBId at mid season was everyone's favorite to take home rookie of the year, all votes went to him.but along the line he suffered from injuries playing only 30 games thereby reducing his chances and finally loosing the trophy. Same analogy goes for kawhi

When I use the word "PROBABLY" for ginobli or parker its not to doubt their prowess but to tell u that there are some good and notable NBA stars who Neva made the HALL Fame list.not all good players make hall of fame. Take a look at:

Tim Hardaway – The man who popularized the “Killer Crossover” has been on the brink of Hall of Fame enshrinement for a few years now but has continually come up just a bit short as voters can’t quite seem to agree on whether or not he belongs. Over the course of his career he was named to five All-Star teams, one All-NBA First Team, three All-NBA Second Teams and one All-NBA Third Team. He was the one that helped turn the Miami HEAT into a contender, and while he didn’t win a ring there, he did set the table for the group that did a couple years after he left

Chris Webber_ this guy ran the break like a point guard, passed as well as any big man the game has ever seen, and played some of the most efficient and exciting basketball of his era. Nobody could stop Webber in his prime, which is a big reason why he made five All-Star Teams and five All-NBA Teams, including an All-NBA First Team selection. He was an elite player in his era but yet no hall of fame selection.

These two players were unstoppable in their prime but yet got snubbed in HOF.

Its a crying disgrace that Chris Webber is not a Hall of Famer already. I rate him much higher than T-Mac who did zilch even with Yao Ming. Chris Webber had the unique misfortune of peaking when Shaq and Kobe were also at their prime. The Sacramento Kings gave those 00-02 3peat Lakers than teams from the Eastern Conference

Baba, abeg accord my pass rush defense the credit they duly deserve. Mike Daniels especially had Wilson tap dancing all night, there was no reprieve for the Seahawks as he was sacked like a sandwich. The Seahawks are a very tough team and I have to agree that the ejection was questionable, however, it would have not changed the inevitable. I am still worried about the running back position, I am not convinced Montgomery is best for the RB position, I just hope I am wrong.

As for your bees, I think TJ Watt is going to a stud, I guess it runs in the family and the school (Winsconsin). Bell underperformed (32 rushing and 15 receiving yards) so did Bryant (2 receptions for 14 yards).

I agree with the Fab Five controversy playing a role and I think Webber has not managed the situation any better either. He has refused to acknowledge his role or any path to reconciliation with Michigan. At some point he has to humble himself and negotiate a path to reconciliation, if for nothing, for his records with the Wolverines.
