kindle fire has a built in office application that only allows you to read but not edit ms documents. on you APP tab, select quick office viewer. this application makes all Your ms document visible. goodluck

Enjoyin mine so far, its a very good device, but you need to root it to really enjoy the full benefits of android.

Mine is just amazon kindle (wifi) black n white no backlight I enjoy 30 days battery life (no exaggeration) but can't read @ nite without light its nice. I also enjoy awz, pdf, ebub, txt formats

What a waste of my money!!!

1. Very slow internet

2. I hate touch screens. . . . so my fingers were just all over the place.

3. I love the fact that I don't have to wait a week or so for my books to arrive.

4. Very great for students. . . . no need to carry textbooks everywhere, your ebook is just right there!!

5. Too small, so most of the time, I just end up using my laptop.


I gave it to my BF after a few months, 75% of the time spent with me, it was in a bag somewhere. I barely used it.

Don't waste your money. If Amazon has a way to just buy ebooks which could be immediately transferred to my computer, without having to purchase a kindle, it would so so so help me a lot. Even with the kindle cloud (reading online), you still need a kindle . . . . which makes no sense. What's the point of kindle cloud if you still have to have a kindle registered to your account?

I can't wait for the next generation of iPad to come out!! I want that. . . . I wish apple would just create a similar program akin to Kindle on their iPad .

There's d Amazon Kindle app on d ipad dats does all d function, u just login ur amazon acct details on d app and u are good to go. Check d itunes store for it
