BENIN CITY (AFP) –
Clashes that broke
out after Muslims
were violently
targeted in Benin
have left five
people dead and
more than 10,000
displaced, a Red
Cross official said
Tuesday.
“We have
recorded so far
five deaths — on
both sides, those
that have been
attacked and the
attackers,” said
Dan
Enowoghomwenwa,
secretary general
of the Nigerian Red
Cross in Edo state,
said
“We have over
10,000 internally
displaced persons
in various places.

I hope those Hausa Fulani soldiers did not shoot any Edo boy, if so this will be the begining of the end for naija, I know what Edo boys can do

Guys stop these inflammatory posts. Things are not that bad in benin. There is more vehicular traffic today compared to yesterday. I drove round town today and encountered no protest. There are numerous police patrols.
Tensions remain in the air quite alright. The hausas understandably are scared. The pockets of violence yesterday was perpetuated by some miscreants from the ghetto, looking to cease on the chaos.
Most people are peace loving, and absolutely condemn the violence.
