I just heard a lawyer from the South East make this statement on channels TV. Biafara was able to refine it's own fuel 45 years ago, while at the same time fighting a difficult war. Then how is it possible that a generation later the country still cannot achieve that same feat at peace time? Or was juju used in converting crude oil to petrol back then?

@OP The story is completely baseless and false. The lying lawyer cannot prove that biafra did not import petrol/diesel during the war. It is very easy to prove that biafra refined oil - where is the proof? That lawyer is probably Dede1 perfecting his revisionism on TV. olodo

Nwanne, what has driven you to this unkindly state of desperation? Only a fool does not know Nigeria blanketed Biafra with a water-tight blockage which did not allow the passage of mere Excedrin talk much of ocean-going tanker.

The aforementioned lawyer was eloquently hard on facts about Biafra and importation of oil. In addition to the makeshift refineries, Biafra developed agro-based fuel from palm oil.

I urge you to abandon the failed and unfortunate project called Nigeria.

Yes biafra did not import fuel let me tell you the small refineries used to make ogogoro or sapele water is the same used by militants to refine asari fuel sold for 100naira at bayelsa and ph

That Nigeria wasted the technological advancements of Biafra due to prejudice was a horrible mistake. Clearly necessity is the mother of invention and in other climes and with Statesmen at the helm of affairs, A committee would have been set up to utilise the advances made by Biafra both military and technological but here bias coldly blind our mind. Some foreign powers have secretly lured some brains from here and are using them for their own technological progress.
