Imagine!

EngineeeD, I was really empathizing with your passion for the Nigeria State until you supported that false analysis of naira2011.
If you believed that crap, you'd believe any lies without verification and sound reasoning. Allocation to every state from FG is even published monthly. Please google it.

Total allocation in many state is not even up to N6Billion/month.

gaddafe:

It is not suppose to be over. NLC can still go to the negotiating table and ensure the parliatives are well implemented. But knowing NLC for who they are (another corrupt political organisation) it might just be over.

NLC is part of the game the govt trying to get rid off. Who do you think sabotages the refineries? Its not evil spirits, its workers who have been paid from on high and are part of an evil web.

It is best to look toward people like Keyamo, Agbakoba, Hajia Najisatu Mohammad, col Umar etc to ensure delivery of the palliatives. Real people of proven integrity.

Those blood-thirsty soldiers who are on the street shld be given shoot-at-sighting order to really deal wt the miscreants who are stealg, destroyg, etc and to arrest those ignorant protesters startg from pastor Bakare (who has misplaced priority as regards his real volition and does not know where to draw the line).  The christian community has lost once vibrant disciple.

Indeed, this hopeless country belongs to every1 and so no1 shld force others to join strike.  Pls go abt ur business, etc No shakg.  This is just prologue, real action against corruptn neva start-o-o.  When the real deal starts, Yoruba and hausa-fulanis shld not call it persecutn, because there will be no sacred cows.

To Niger Deltans:  Indeed ur morning has come, weeping for u guz had endured for half a century.  Congrats!

Those fuel stations in the south west that refused to sell fuel on the account of scarcity, shld now sell at n97 and not claim they're sellg old stock.  We now know who the enemies of niger deltans are.

The fuel subsidy saved shld focus devpt on the south south and south east; which hv bn neglected for half a century, whereas lagos and abuja hv bn the greatest evil beneficiaries at the exp of the niger deltans.

The President's speech does not sound convincing at all. They are still continuing in their bad way of marketing themselves. The speech has no reconcilliatory tone, it sounds very undemocratic given the situation that brought us to this situation in the first place. I personally expected a speech that will speak to the psyche of the people; making them understand that the government feels their pain and that the government hears and understanads their plight.

Whoever is writing the president's speech is not doing a good job. Even the president's posture during the televised speech does not look like that of a person who really understands what his people are going through. I don't think his body language will even assuage the supporters on this matter except that they will not just see it because of their support for him.

I would like you to compare this morning's telecast of the president's address with when Gov. Fashola of Lagos is talkiing or giving speeches; he talks to the mind of the people. But this president has not shown that attitude.

I'm a student of risk management, and my study includes so many areas, which includes crisis management. And I'm looking at this whole issue from the risk perspective as it affects every facets of our national life.

The problem of Nigeria is  the same subset of foolish Nigerians!
Like Fela said, suffering and smilling and you can hear some of them "smilling" on this thread!

Too many traitors who betray their country for chicken-change!

You can even see some of them "FEAR-MONGERING" others like they are the ones that will kill innocent Nigerians!
Imagine what this kind of warped-minds will do, if they ever have the opportunity to "taste power"?
Like the shoeless boy, they will simply go numb in the brain!

Truly said, Poverty is a disease but not just of the "pocket only, also of the mind".

I urge Nigerians not to give-up, its your destiny, its your life, its your move.

NLC is too small in the scheme of things as regards sabotage of the refineries, you need to talk to an "insider" there to understand.

Thank u! We have an opportunity to break the cycle, but unfortunately the chances are looking bleak. I am in no way advocating anarchy, I am in support of Nigerians exercising their right to demand good governance and not to be the scape goat each time the government fails to do its duties.

It makes sense for NLC and TUC to accept this offer in the interest of peace and progress of the country. GEJ listens after all and considering the efforts of the past few days, I believe he did not do badly.

GEJ is a Joker, he has no clue on how to govern, no direction, maybe he thinks we are little children. Very soon, Jonathan will tell Nigerians through a national broadcast that he wants to use the toilet or play with his wife. Nonsense! This man really needs help, Ave u ever seen any country where there president speech will be publish before he even broadcast? 65naira is what we stand for and it is now time we reconstitute the negotiation team. NLC and TUC represent allow 20%, now is the time for the negotiation team to consist and must consist of the NBA, ASUU, MEDICAL ASSOCIATIONs and Market UNIOns etc. its unfortunate that after all dis years of struggle to bench the military, now this is what we get as president. We have been taking for a fool for so long, its time to justify Fela anikulapo's death, Gani Fawehimi, Br Bola Ige and so on, If the president uses force on our peaceful protests, we will celebrate the start of our revolution. We also use this media to call on our security agencies, The Police, SSS, and The Military to drop there arms and join the protest. Let's make Nigeria a Nation. Let's work towards a Nigeria of our Dreams. We can't continue to feed the 1% when 99% suffers. Enough is Enough. We are Nigerians! We not NLC or TUC! We are never compromised! And we will never give up!. The protests continues. Forget indoor strike, it is outdoor! Please be counted among the change makers, so our next generation would smile and be happy when they feel, enjoy what we doing now.

Reversal of pump price to 97 naira will still in a long not change the prices of commodity in the market.Even, transporters who have always in recent times capitalize on the scarcity of fuel to increase fares will not also reduce their services as everyone as gone haywire! Let us agitate for 65 naira or nothing more because at the long run or even at present it is the common man that are languishing in this subsidy imbroglio.however, some of the opportunities(even if not many) at our door step today is as a result of uncompromised battle fought by our fallen matyrs.Must will fail them and increase our hardship?

Labor has not suspended the Strike. Labor Changed tactics! SIMPLES!!

They say Jonathan begged that he does not want to kill innocent Protesters as He has now woken up to tackle Boko Haram (At Ojota! shocked shocked ) using soldiers.

Labour Changed tactics and said instead of "Public Protest" which Jonathan needs, to kill innocent protetsters, "Sit-At- Home" is the new style. SIMPLES again!

Is pastor Tunde Bakare the only pastor we have in this nation? Where are the likes of,

Pastor Adeboye(Redeem Christian Church of God)
Mike Okonkwo(Redeem Envagelical Mission)
David Oyedepo(Slapping little girl pastor)
Chris Oyakilohme(Christ Embassy)
Chris Okotie(Household Church of God)
Femi Emmauel(Living Spring)
Mountain of Fire & Miracles( Dr. Olukoya)
and all other renowned men of God in the country.

Where is the General Overseer of the church whose members were massacred in the north some days ago? Not even a comment in the papers!
They all sit down in their well-built magnificent Headquarters edifice and ask us to fast and pray. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ did not only fast and pray for us, He went to the cross for us. And they expect us to pay tithes at the month end. Where do they expect us to get it from? I doubt if our pastors will subsidize our tithes and offerings. We are the labourers, Please, don't get me wrong, am not attacking our Men of God, I know they meant well but their silence is saying otherwise. We are not asking them to fight and shoot guns, Just their presence is enough. Imagine what will happen if we have JUST five General Overseers on the streets with one million members each. We all know what the likes of great men of God, like Bishop Desmond Tutuh did in Apartheid South Africa. Rev Martin Luther King, Rev Jesse Jackson, Bishop Ajayi Crowther, Hariet Tubman, to mention a few, Biblically, Esther, Moses, Gideon, Daniel, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Elijah, Stephen and all the New testament Apostles, they all took an active part in shaping the destiny of their nations and same goes for the Imams, what shall we remember them for?

Imagine carrying out a "revolution" over the cost of fuel when there are far more weighty issues concerning our national structure? shocked
It was always going to hit the rocks at some point, and its hit the rocks very badly indeed.

Any movement that is not backed by an enduring philosophy is bound to fail. What is the philosophy of #Occupy? Is it N65 per litre fuel?
Is that what is hoped will develop the country and cater for generations yet unborn?
Bloody laughable!

Nigeria cannot be directed by those who have only just gleefully welcomed the presence of their first couple of pubic hairs. You do not have all power and understanding, cos you have twitter and facebook accounts. You've got to have a grounding in how the World meshes together first; in fact, all that #Occupy has achieved with their infuriating ignorance/dishonesty is moving the nation to the brink of fullscale ethnic warfare.
I recall that Nigerians protested severally when Obj increased fuel price
Why is this an ethnic issue now. Or has the government of GEJ chosen to sell PMS at a different price in the north?

Exactly! The way people have acted, it was like some of them were riding popular protest to violently overthrow the govt, and now that govt has reacted like they would to a coup attempt, they are shedding crocodile tears.

We all know that Nigeria has very deep problems, but problems cannot be solved by formenting anarchy; especially when a govt comes out with a policy that is aimed squarely at endinding stratospheric levels of corruption.

When we are ready to demonstrate for true federalism, against the NASS members ridiculous wages etc, then someone ring my doorbell.

I get your point. Everyone of us is guity of corruption. Like you, I really do not trust the government to deliver on promises. But we are losing job because of subsidy. No shewd businessman can build private refinery in Naija with the current situation because you will certainly run at a loss since the prices of crude, the raw material, flutuate in the market.

It is far more attrative to fold your hands and import finished products while you get paid by the govt instantly coupled with all the sharp practices and the chance to reap from diversion to over 10 neigbours selling for N150. Now, jonathan cant stand on road block. Its you and I that will be bribe or our oga who will replace us instantly if we prove too stubborn.

The more we import, the more will create foreign jobs and lose job locally. This go to stop! And please let those increasinsig their prices be fair. Their should be consumer protection unit. these are wporth fighting for!
