Folks, while we agree we don't need a Walker to walk Africa out of the gory of ideologies to the glory and the world we seek. Western prosperity and way of life do not agree with the cosmic laws, no doubt it is a myth. Then, how do we convince Africans not to run away from wealth and reality chasing the aesthetics that define the cosmetic life of the west. My brother @ajanlekoko, no doubt you are a sincere and proud African. I'm proud of you and others on this thread. But if we don't see beyond Walker skin pigment we shall continually fail to ask ourself, "WHICH WAY MY FATHERLAND?" He may not be the right messenger to be entrusted with the message. Brethren, it is message of truth. |

@Okeyxyz and Hye-Bits, I can only say, to each his own. Let's agree to disagree on the matter. |

Observing the dogma of necessities leaving the less essentials behind us as we agree to disagree. Many of us think about the future we are leaving for our kids, the future of Africa. What are we getting wrong, still getting wrong? What is in our dream? Does this dream harbour that hope is lost? Or do we hope their is hope? What are the essentials at this junction of the cross-roads? What do we need do in order to make the culture of excellence tread our path? |

Hye-Bits: Okay, that's a very reasonable observation. What I have been saying is, it's not as bad as they try to paint it. Yes, we have problems with corruption and inefficiency. But there is the same problem in a lot more places, not only Africa. Why are we always so quick to condemn ourselves, based on things we are told by Western media? For me, I think the only problem with Africans is our inferiority complex and our naivete. World Bank this, Western media that, we are always quick to accept it as true. Are you corrupt, am I corrupt? Most people I know are like me, young, hardworking, and hopeful for a better future. Yet the whole world prefers to label us as silly and thieving scumbags. Is that really the truth? |
