^^ as Karthikeyan said, the guy is having a bad start of the yr and taking his frustration on others, lol!

also, i just stumbled on something Jenson said, and i couldnt help but laugh at this cocky bastard.......how dare he? his last few podium finishes surely went straight to his brain!

BUTTON WRITES OFF ALONSO
Jenson Button has written off Fernando Alonso’s chances of winning the world championship even though the Ferrari star won the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Button, winner of the first race in Australia, trailed in 14th at Sepang after a collision, while Alonso pulled off a shock victory.
But even though the Brit now trails the Spaniard by 10 points in the title standings, he reckons Alonso struck it lucky in the Malaysian monsoon.

And he is still looking at McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull pair Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber as his main rivals.
Button said: "Even after such a bad race — and that's hopefully my bad race for the year gone — I'm still only 10 points off the lead.
“And that's Alonso in a Ferrari. That's not the worry".

"I'm also only five points behind Lewis, who is the guy in a competitive car, so still not bad considering the day I had.
Lewis is definitely my main rival and you have to say the Red Bulls as well.
Those are the guys I still think are the main ones at this point in the season and will be for quite a few races.
The Mercedes show signs of speed in qualifying and we'll have to see what it can do in a nice dry race.
But the team we should still be worried about most are Red Bull."

McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh was more circumspect. He said Alonso’s victory at Sepang was “a turn-up for the books” given the struggles he has had with his ill-handling car. But he added: "You can never underestimate Ferrari. No one, with confidence, can predict the outcome of this year's world championship, and that's how it should be.”

I really hope those words don't come back to haunt Jenson. Something tells me that this year will be a sobering one for him and the great British press will be there to feast on his carcass as they did Lewis last season.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Nobody: 12:22am On Apr 05, 2012
nobody can safely put anyone ahead of anybody eyt, even Lotus or Sauber could surprise us all this yr.......and they have already proven to us all that they can.

let me go and consult the F1 Gods for a DNF for Jenson's next race......that would shut him up for a few races.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Beaf: 1:01am On Apr 05, 2012
Lol! Don't consult any gods against my dear McLaren, lest I inflict Alonso and Ferrari with leprechauns and gremlins! grin
Jensen has always had a bit of a loose tongue and now the press has hyped him up to drunkenness. The tea leafs predict its gonna end sadly.

Time for vettel to reclaim the pole, sick of seein that cocky hamilton on front role

They are all cocky and Lewis is a better driver anyway.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 6:47pm On Apr 06, 2012
I actually prefer Lewis on pole, or the front row. This will prevent his reckless maneuvering, when trying to almost literally drive through other cars, to the front.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Beaf: 11:09pm On Apr 12, 2012
Looks like its to Bahrain with bulletproof cars ans SAS style protection for Lewis and Jenson.

In the meantime, Lewis has bagged a 5 place grid penalty for changing his gearbox.

Williams new test driver looks much better than her car. wink

Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Beaf: 5:21am On Apr 14, 2012
Ferrari must have brought rocks to tie to their cars as their vaunted upgrades; final practice in Shanghai has seen them as 16th and 18th fastest. Who'd a thunk it?! shocked

Quali proper is not too far off now, but I can't see them making it past Q2 (Massa might not even make Q2).
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Beaf: 7:46am On Apr 14, 2012
Vettel fails to make Q1! While Webber is the fastest in Q2!
Damn!
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 7:47am On Apr 14, 2012
Vettel fails to make Q3 while Webber goes fastest. Somebody gave Mark, Vettel's car. grin
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Beaf: 8:29am On Apr 14, 2012
Congrats to Rosberg, that was a bloody great lap!
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 2:11pm On Apr 14, 2012
Mercedes tend to over-perform in qualifying, but the Shanghai circuit should suit them. If neither Rosberg or Schumi can deliver a win (baring special circumstances), then they will prove to be paper tigers despite strong performances in practice and qualifying.

Vettel's luck has left him this season and he is going to have to make some. I think he might surprise tomorrow (I'm predicting 5th, maybe 4th)
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Beaf: 5:39pm On Apr 14, 2012
I don't see Vettel coming in any better than 8th. Those ahead of him are too good.
Mercedes might fall back, because of poor tyre management, but Lewis win last year showed that this can be minimised with a 3 stop strategy; so its still up in the air for a Mercedes podium.
Jensen Button used up all his tyres, while Lewis set his time on old rubber (so like last season, he has an extra set). I see Jenson easily falling into the clutches of Lewis and Webber in the early stages.
The one to watch up front is Kobayashi, he might cause an accident.

1 N Rosberg 1:35.121
2 L Hamilton 1:35.626
3 M Schumacher 1:35.691
4 K Kobayashi 1:35.784
5 K Raikkonen 1:35.898
6 J Button 1:36.191
7 M Webber 1:36.290
8 S Perez 1:36.524
9 F Alonso 1:36.622
10 R Grosjean 1:35.903
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 7:35am On Apr 15, 2012
I can see M Schumacher not finishing race, he will probably cause prob for N Rosberg
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 7:54am On Apr 15, 2012
This should be a very exciting race. I like the nature of the Shanghai circuit and the initial starting grid should guarantee us some good action.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 7:59am On Apr 15, 2012
I see Lewis doing well today as the pressure of pole position is not on him today
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 8:03am On Apr 15, 2012
Prediction
1. Schumacher
2. Webber
3. Raikonnen
4. Hamilton
5. Vettel
6. Button.

Kobayashi and Rosberg don't finish.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 8:10am On Apr 15, 2012
And previous form, continues Button starts brilliantly while Webber goes back to his consistent terrible starts, this time seems Vettel has caught the bug as well. Bad day ahead for Red bull and things looking good for both Mercedes and Mclaren.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 8:27am On Apr 15, 2012
Schumacher out, not surprised though
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 8:27am On Apr 15, 2012
Mercedes looking very much in control, its early but they should definitely bag a decent haul of points if not a win or even 1,2 finish.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 8:28am On Apr 15, 2012
Damn, Schumi just messed a good thing up.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 8:32am On Apr 15, 2012
Rosberg should still be able to win, so long as there are no more costly pit mistakes.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 8:32am On Apr 15, 2012
The whole thing started in pit-stop, they new mistake was made there b4 Schumacher left
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 8:46am On Apr 15, 2012
Hamilton pits and emerges behind Massa, I see sparks flying. grin
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 8:49am On Apr 15, 2012
*smh* Massa has gone soft, what was that.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 9:13am On Apr 15, 2012
Nightmare stop by Mclaren, has basically handed Rosberg an almost certain victory.
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by montelik(m): 9:23am On Apr 15, 2012
Wow, some wonderful wheel-to-wheel driving from Maldonado and Grosjean. Great stuff
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 9:28am On Apr 15, 2012
This is gr8 stuff
