Fellow Nairalanders in Academics, I need ur professional advise on this. I have a first degree in Chemical Engineering, but have been working in an oil servicing firm for about 4 years now, but I have a great passion for teaching Mathematics, and that is one job I will be most fulfilled doing. Job satisfaction now matters to me much more than pay. My question is, what is the easiest path to achieving this noble goal without necessarily going to a take another first degree in maths? Can I take it for granted that I will land a teaching job in Mathematics in the University if I make this grand career change, as a first degree holder in Chem Engrn? Your Candid opinion is very much welcum.

your easiest route is to take a masters degree course in mathematics in any university in nigeria.
80% of them work as assistant lecturers while doing their masters. . . . .but why teach math in the university?

are you attracted to uni babes? grin
