Out of curiosity >> Kobe beef (most expensive) comes from wagyu cattle that are[b] allegedly fed only beer and massaged by hand [/b]to ensure a tenderness and marbling beyond compare.  drunk cows.

For christ's sake this beef alone is smbody's 2 /3 months salary and others are busy hunting monkey/warthog meat.

heavy chewing?! my jaw hurts just thinking about it. eating should be a pleasurable experience, not a battle in your mouth, just to swallow a piece of beef.

HA! Try telling that to a typical African Man.You know some African men hate soft/tender stuff.
They want to feel their teeth dig into large chunks of 'tough beef'. And the mouth must be full of food as they chew.

^^^ Wagyu beef and Kobe beef is the same thing (just that Kobe beef is from a specific area of japan). . . . . . . . and since it is NOT cheap, you have to be rich to eat Kobe beef everyday.

yes, the excess fat is the whole deal here. the meat will be layered with tender beef and fat, here 's a pic of the meat. after being cooked, the fat will not be as apparent and the whole meat would still strongly taste like beef instead of just fat.

looks like thick bacon. Not a healthy slice of beef if asked yet most expensive.
