I am planning of starting a magazine business,but trust me i only have the idea but i dont know how to start,pls i need your advice on what to do?i already have two writers and my graphics designer is working on it as well but i need more advice cos i have passion for magazine.

What is the focus of the magazine? Fashion, Business, Gossip, Design etc. That should be your first decision. Let us know.

Get other magazines and check what they have done

that make them succeeding.

There are some basic things u have to know b4 u start a magazine

1. focus of the magazine
2. content source (i.e. writers, contributors etc) and format i.e. hard copy or online
3. intending or likely customers aka target audience
4. reach and distribution channel
5. sellability/ marketability of the magazine to readers and advertisers
6. Long term objectives/ goals for the magazine; is it a means to an end or an end itself.
7. source of funding (taking into consideration all the above).
