There were many factors that led to those players leaving.
Ozil wanted to leave because he wasn't a plan in Ancellotti 3-man midfield tactic, Robben was too injury prone at Madrid, Alonso didn't want to renew his contract because he wanted to leave Madrid on high and try himself in another league.
Sneidjer was no worldclass, one good year doesn't make you a worldclass, just like a good 6 month doesn't make Di Maria worldclass.
On the other hand, Di Maria wanted to stay but Madrid refused to give him a raise and would rather sell him because to them, his 6 month performances after previous months of pathetic display doesn't deserve a raise.
