If your principal isn't too much, I think you should consider. Sterling bank offered me same 14% yesterday (~360 days). That's a very good offer for me having passed through the senseless customer service at Nigeria's most over hype bank -- GTbank.

You asked for worst case scenario right? OK.

At 0.5% worst case, you will earn N2,500 for 182 days and N1,250 for 91 days.

The very worse case is that your principal is preserved tax free.

I am interested in Stanbic IBTC and nothing else. I'm sure yours is not safe.

I got 16.55% for 192 days from Stanbic on Monday- secondary market. The rate beats all the tenors available recently in the primary market. There is also no need to wait for another 7+ days leaving the funds in a savings account earning pathetic interest of less than 3%.
