The pump price of petrol is now N130 per litre in some parts of Ogun State, Daily Trust can report.

It was also gathered that since Friday last week, several filling stations have remained shut, a situation, they attributed to the new depot price of N95 per litre of petrol.

At Ilara, a border town with Republic of Benin in Imeko Afon Local Government Area of the state, it was also discovered that the product is being sold at N130 per litre. Motorists, who spoke with our correspondent, attributed the development to the closeness of the town to the border.

“We have been buying petro at N130 per liter for about 10 days now. The marketers even prefer to sell the product in Benin to have more profit,” a resident of Ilara told our correspondent.

In Abeokuta, the state capital, a manager of a petrol station, who simply gave his as Jide, lamented that the marketers could not afford the new depot price of N95.

I wonder why people blame everything on government. Even when a local government does not perform, they still blame the federal govt

so in this case, who are you supposed to blame? the people who have to queue for hours to get fuel or who are forced to buy at between 130 and 250 per litre?
