Awka the capital city is wearing a brand new look. I passed through Alex Ekwueme Square all through to Fed. and State Secretariats complex everywhere is wearing a new look amid tight security with combine team of Airforce, Soldiers and Police. I can still see Helicopters hovering all over the city. The venue of the event Alex Ekwueme Square is now a Capitol of a sort with beautiful outlook to witness the highest gathering of the world.

One Igbo petty trader in front of my office was asked by a fellow Igbo woman why he opened shop today, when all Igbos home and abroad have been directed to close shop today to honour the Late Odimegwu Ojukwu.

His reply: Don't let me hear that name abeg. That man created the war that led to the early death of my daddy which ultimately made me and my siblings not to be educated. As far as I am concerned he doesn't deserve any honour at all!!! If I have my way, I would spit at his corpse 100 times.

I am very proud to hear on BBC as Ojukwu is glowingly addressed as "the late Biafran leader". It is instructive that inspite of several years of pretences to the contrary, the world recognises the existence of the Republic of Biafra. Note the language: "late Biafran leader". Not "late leader of defunct Biafra". These are two different phrases with different connotations. The first phrase, which BBC uses implies a Republic still in existence, while the second phrase, which BBC does not use, refers to a Republic that existed and collapsed after a period of time. Indeed, the world knows that Biafra lives! cool

It funny how internet Amego always seems to overstep into other people discussions especially when his made-up chart is all about his/her pet hate.
Just like like a vulture, always present where the favourite meal is available.
Get a life!!

'LORD of the EAST', am sure that would be a fitting title for any movie from the stable of Nollywood chronicling the interesting aspect of Ojukwu's life and time. Can't wait!

It's nice to note that in Port Harcourt and Enugu now, Gov Chibuike has used this Ojukwu's funeral to display to the world of his Igboness. God bless him and Ndigbo.

am in Ekwueme square now IN Awka, the whole place is filled up even when Ojukwu's remains have not arrived. this is indeed a great moment in the life and times of Ndigbo gburu gburu. histroy have come to the present. i sincerely wish today was a celebration of the actualized Biafra dream.

anyway, all hope is not lost. someday, somehow what will be will be.

it is not over untill it is over.

RIP DIM COO
