How time flies, I just kept remembering how SA's were brought to Nigerians in thousand, were fed by Nigerians, had free education to whatever level the, had freedom that was not even available to Nigerians, I was in secondary school then when they came to Nigeria in Ikenne and I remember those that were enrolled in our schools how they were left alone to do whatever they like. Nobody beats or touch them in any form even when they were found to be very rude. Nigeria did this in the name of hospitality and all manner of nonsense diplomatic gestures all over the place. The most developed countries don't venture around if there are nothing to gain in return, but Nigeria be your brother's keeper. I think is high time we look inward and fix our country and stop wasting money on most of these useless nations and their citizenry. |

Atimes i wonder what could be the problem with Nigerians, is it petty tribalism, mischief to score cheap points, crass ignorance, or poverty induced inferiority complex? GEJ has taken the bull by the horn in order to correct a diplomatic assault on the collective integrity of Nigerians and yet some people are talking trash, to start with South Africa has more to loose than Nigeria if the diplomatic impasse deteriorates eg how many Nigerian companies of repute are operating in their domain compared to Multichoice and the shylock MTN. secondly Nigeria has a huge market which no company or country can ignore easily, , i can go on and on but in the interest of sub saharan Africa i hope that Jacob Zuma would look into the situation and call his folks to order. |

Foreign News Flash with Kayode Ogundamisi "Barely 24 hours after the second batch of 56 South African deportees were sent home, the Nigerian government said it has uncovered a prostitution ring ran by a high profile South African businessman with 67 prostitutes in his employment both in Abuja and Lagos. Consequently, the Federal Government has concluded plans to deport the 67 prostitutes who are believed to be HIV positive back to Jacob Zuma. The move is part of government deliberate policy to double the figure of the 125 Nigerians deported by South Africa before the consideration of any diplomatic solution to the lingering feud with the South African government." I am loving the President Goodluck Jonathan ''bolekaja'' diplomacy! You source: Toaskarity: |

Mr Everest: I pray he doesnt look into the issue yet, make we self deport them well well. Toaskarity: Those company you think are owned by South Africa ant really owned by them, they are just foreign investor registering their company and establishing them here in SA because of the easy law here. if you watch the SA news you will find out they are always crying for job and demonstrating always because they dont have jobs only NAME. imagine a country that has only one bank (CAPITAL BANK) own by the white south africa, the rest bank and own by foreigners who registered and establishing here in SA. oprah winfrey investment here pass 100. mall etc but they act on them like it owned by SA. this people got nothing for real. FG, keep up the good work, smiles |

The Federal Government’s reduction of the frequency of British Airways flights to Lagos, Nigeria from seven to three, has caught the attention of the British government. The issue has started generating ripples in the aviation sector. The Federal Government had, through the Minister of Aviation, Stella Adaeze Oduah, announced that it had cut down on the British carrier’s frequency. Prior to the reduction which took off from Tuesday, November 8, British Airways was operating 14 frequencies into Nigeria through Abuja and Lagos airports. The reduction may not be unconnected with the allegation by a Nigerian carrier, Arik Air, that the British Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) denied it of landing rights on its Abuja/London Heathrow route in line with Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) signed by the Nigerian and British governments. The denial of the landing slot to Arik Air which has forced it to suspend its flights to London/Heathrow from Abuja may have forced government to wield the big stick against British Airways. Reacting, the British carrier, in a statement said, ”the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has restricted British Airways flights to Lagos from next week. They have cited operational reasons for this imposition. It appears that British Airways is the only airline to be singled out by these restrictions. We are doing all we can to resolve this issue.” In its defence, British Airways said: “The distribution of the slots at Heathrow is managed through an independent organisation, Airport Coordination Ltd. ACL manages slot allocation in a fair and transparent manner, where all airlines have the opportunity to be involved.” :NIGERIA DID THIS TO THE BRITISH!! HOW MUCH MORE OUR bleeping SOUTH AFRICA BROTHERS IT IS TIME TO DEAL WITH ALL COUNTRIES THAT ARE TAKING NIGERIANS FOR GRANTED |

In about 20 minutes SAn & Nigerian representatives will address the media at the SA International Relations offices in Pretoria. Spokesperson says "the matter was a health/immigration issue that should not have escalated to the level that it did but it has been resolved". Should make for interesting listening. |

"SA apologises for the regrettable incident, " Unfortunately couldn't listen live to the media address but that's the general statement made. Good for African/international relations, can't have two bull elephants slugging it out over such a petty issue *rollseyes* |
