Nigerian Entertainers Unite Against Untimely Death by Nobody: 4:14am On Mar 09, 2012
The Nigerian entertainment industry which includes music, movie and comedy are coming together to pray against untimely deaths in their industry taking into consideration the number of entertainers they have lost within the spate of two years and the adverse effect on all of them.
They have resolved to an annual prayer meeting to help curtail or prevent any unforeseen evil that will take away the life of any Nigerian entertainer in his or her prime. This year’s event took place on February 26, 2012 by 5pm at the Lagoon Restaurant in Lagos.
The first edition held last year in Lagos and it witnessed the attendance of lots of entertainers and anointed men of God. It was anchored by leading gospel act, Sammie Okposo.
The convener of the programme, Pastor Paul Ojo said “this vision was born out of the burden of seeing our greatly endowed Nigerian acts not finish their course/time on earth before death or some sickness or infirmity come snatching them through unnecessary accidents from hell and worse off, homes breaking away. I prayed about this burden for years and then God spoke to me to do something about it 2years ago (2009) and the vision S.H.I.F.T was born in 2011”.
He spoke further that the vision “is to Stand in the gap for the Nigeria entertainment industry and say enough is enough to mishaps in their lives as they go about fulfilling their destinies in acting, football, music, arts, to mention a few.
To make them understand that it’s not just when evil happens that they have to seek God or a great man of God to pray for them, to foster covenant relationships with God and to remind them also that God who made them and gave them fame and a name created a void in their lives that He alone can fill which no one-else can.”.
Major stakeholders like Segun Arinze, Julius Agwu, Sammie Okposo, Stephanie Okereke, Ali Baba, AY and many others have supported the two hours yearly non-denominational event at the beginning of every year for everyone in the entertainment industry to come together and seek the face, and place of God in their lives, knowing that the industry is in God’s palms.
The entertainers will be inviting their fans who love them enough to join them in seeking the face and place of God in their lives.

First ask them how many lives they do waste before they make it to the limelight.

They should stop drinking and driving. Most of the deaths are caused by alcohol induced car crashes and the unhealthy lifestyle that most of them live.

They have to turn a new leaf. They have been engaging in many unGodly activities all in the name of Stars. Money and False life style is the order of the day. Act in one movie and you add prostitution to it and you are made. They should turn to God.

Instead of focusing on educating their peers on stretching their money for the duration of the time they are here or at the very least have some sort of health insurance policy for members of the guild they are here gisting at a restaurant. How many Nollywood actors/actresses have we seen now not even be able to afford medical treatment when we know that some of them have no reason to not be able to afford it. Sometimes I honestly can feel God's frustration at the daftness of people. They want to be spoon fed and not get solutions for their issues
