Since switching to the Russian League at the beginning of the season, life has not been the same for Super Eagles duo of Obafemi Martins and Obinna Nsofor.

Both players had diverse experiences while featuring in the Italian Serie A before fate again brought them to the English Premier League last season on loan deals.

Martins starred for Birmingham City while Nsofor featured for West Ham with both strikers enjoying the limelight which gave them rave reviews as the EPL is well watched by Nigerian fans courtesy of cable tv.

Obagol returned to Rubin Kazan while Nsofor followed in his steps by teaming up with Lokomotiv Moscow and the moves have affected the players' popularity amongst their home fans who are unable to watch them week-in, week-out on television anymore.

But the players are not complaining as they are making up for that by earning good money in the cold region.
