Justice Abubakar Umar of an Abuja High Court has struck out a suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes commission (EFCC) against three persons named in the Halliburton bribery scandal. The judge struck out the case for EFCC’s failing to arraign the defendants since the trial commenced over a year ago.

The Judge struck out the suit after counsel to the EFCC, Ms Kauna Pindam, prayed the court to grant the commission another adjournment to enable it to arraign the accused persons.

EFCC and her leadership have proven to be noise makers and nothing more. i can count so many cases filed by the commission that have been quashed for lack of merit and other excuses. Why arraign accused without preparedness and sufficient evidence. Another Obasanjo Victory..... Mtcheew angry angry angry angry angry

The country cannot afford to keep paying your prosecuting lawyers fat retainer fees without delivering on dilligent prosecution. Day in day out you blame judges fro delayed trials, but the truth is that the citizens are being taken for a ride on this fight against corruption. Revolution either peaceful or bloody will be the way out.

EFCC was established by OBJ to intimidate his opponent, that they have done credibly well. Its time they are disbanded since its done with its assignment.

The EFCC and the Judiciary think we are fools. If members of the cabal are above the law, then the EFCC is no longer necessary in the fight against corruption. There is lawlessness in the country because of issues like this. Government officials cannot condemn terrorism, armed robbery, kidnapping etc. when they are actively involved in the looting of the nation's treasury. The only hope is for the masses to pray for God to punish members of the cabal. A revolution is an alternative.
