And the third girl got 202,we all did pume, and it was only the girl that got medicine n surgery and both of us thrown to another dept together. So it doesn't matter if you scored less than 250, just score above 200 and u may even do better in pume...all those fools saying 200 is too low to score what did you score in ur days huh? No be arnd that range? And am pretty sure you were assited self.

the guy is a myopic fellow with a shallow brain. I know of a girl too who got 201 and as i type, she is studying her desired course in th first choice university she opted for.

pls nl'ders, i need this info 4 my jnr broda who applied to study Medicine @ UNIJOS, he scored 218 and could not eat ever since the release of the result. What are his chances after post UTME? Can he study Medical Laboratory Sciences if not admitted to Study Medicine? UNIJOS was his 1st Choice....

Wrong. Most reputable private unis like the one i attended have their cut-off marks albeit you could also get accepted into any of the schools even without sitting jamb through a programm called pre-degree and/or diplomas which are also obtainable at every public university.
Stop painting private unis darker than they are.

Getting admissions at private unis is not always hinged on one's ability to pay the fees as errorneously held by many.You may score 350 in jamb and get rejected if you do not replicate the same feat and even consolidate on it at the post-jamb and oral interview respectively.(Yeah,every prospective candidate undergo both post-utme and oral interview). While i was entering the university as a freshman,we were made to face a panel of renowned and seasoned intellectuals who were poached from your so called almighty Oba Awon University,Uniben,UI and even abroad,this was two hours after we had sat a grueling post-utme which was harder than jamb itself. The questions posed at the oral interview ranged from why you want to study a particular course to how you intend use it to positively make an impact on nigeria. There was this girl who sat next to me during the interview and when it was her turn to face the panel she repeated everything i told the panel word for word and was subsequently denied admission despite the fact that she scored higher than i did at jamb proper.

Her parents counting on her superb jamb score queried the decision but all pleas fell on deaf ears. There were many of my neighbours at home who wanted to attend the same uni as me but did not achieve that dream even though they had all the money in the world as they could not scale through post-utme and the oral interview.

I implore us all to endeavor to have a first hand information of what obtains in a certain school or at a certain type of school before claiming that we do and therefore bastardizing such institutions.

UI doesn't accept 2nd choice, it is only if u chose ui as 1st choice,nd u were nt calld for p.utme or u failed 1st choice p.utme. Then u will be able to do 2nd choice p.utme if u chose ui as both 1st nd 2nd choice or u did change of course with them but chances are slim cos WAEC result ar highly considered

Its not my fault u had a double figure in ur jamb, bt the truth is most skols will cut off at 260, a person wit less than 220 can't hv an aggregate of 260 aftr post ume

uniuyo has been taking their cut off mark at 180 for the last 5years.

Is cut-off no longer departmental? It was never even on a faculty level so how is it now a University level criteria?
Is this how they now do it due to the university exams Jambites still write?

for all unizik aspirants, i'm here to help out with any necessary info concerning your admission. if your jamb score is too low, plz change your course to a lesser-applied course to increase your chances of admission. for the cutoff(s), it is basically based on each department, nothing like general cut off. if u make 200 and above , you are eligible to write the putme. also candidates that made up to 180 will be allowed to write in few departments,eg some dept under education. for any other info reach me via 08161192264...wish u all the best. FOR EXAMPLE IF A SCHOOL PLACES HER CUT OFF AT 200, IT MEANS THAT 200 IS THE MINIMUM SCORE YOU MUST OBTAIN IN JAMB EXAM, THIS 200 ONLY QUALIFIES YOU TO WRITE THE SCHOOL POST UME EXAM..

THE 200 DOES NOT GRANT YOU ADMISSION BECAUSE YOU STILL HAVE ANOTHER CUT OFF MARK TO SAIL THROUGH AND THAT IS THE POST UME EXAM MINIMUM CUT-OFF MARK..
