EE all the way!

M.Sc in Physics (Communication Physics) too will do but I don't know how they do it here in Nigeria. Considering the Nigerian factor, go for M.Sc in EE because M.Sc in Physics may be compilation and computation of mathematical equations.
All the best.

Thanks alot! I think i'll go for msc in EE even though it'll be required of me to have a PGD in EE as required by most nigerian universities.
Re: Telecommunication: Msc Physics Or Msc EE After MCITP by AjanleKoko: 7:50pm On Apr 09, 2012
Why Msc in EE?
Why not an MSc in Infotech or related discipline, that won't require a PGD?
Unilag offers a Masters in IT, I think UI does as well.
An Msc in EE has no direct relevance to the telecom industry in Nigeria.

@Ajanlekoko, I have the intention of studying at UNIBEN. Unfortunately, they don't have a faculty on I.T

EE has options in Telecoms, that was why I gave the suggestion. Besides, Physics is not taught to the fullest degree here in Nigeria but it is the best if outside of the shores of the country.
All the best.

My dear I don't think it shld b abt wat u want to study buh rada wat life/career u wanna have, d only exception here is if u wanna lecture; as my dad will always say a prof. na prof. b it yoruba or medicine.....

if its a career in telecom u want den I doubt if u can bank on EE with an option in telecom to provide u with wat u want, Y? WiMAX is just bin rolled out in nigeria, LTE is still in its testing phase in an IT inclined country like india, dese 2 technologies r 4G tech, I can bet u dey r nt on d syllabus, immediately below is 3G (WCDMA like UMTS, HSUPA n co in d 3GPP and CDMA2000 like dem EV.DO n EV.DV in d 3GPP2) and if dis will b touched it will b @ d surface, if RF planning n optimization is included u can't get hands on, abi shey nor b nigerian univ again? M a product of one

We all know wats obtainable, u will end up with courses like data networks, transmission systems, digital signal processing (DSP) and some programming plus may PSTN/ISDN with SS7, if u wanna b telecom techie dis aint enuff, u might get a job wit a teleco cos of d lil respect for second degree but den u might b closer to admin or management (y nt MBA then), if u r @ d tech ull v 2 keep up wit d pace b doing lotta short runs (courses n studies) outside d univ.

My idea is y nt take a master degree in sometin else info tech like ajanlekoko suggested den include dis short runs dt will keep u as a telecom techie THAT IS IF TELECOM ENGINEERING IS WHAT U WANT OOOOOO, it will even help with diversity.

M nt ridiculing nigerian universities but d truth is we don't v it technically no thanks to d death of our trade centers, polytechnics n d absence of QUALITY technical institutes, dts y we keep shouting every now n den dt d Chinese n Indians r taking up our jobs, y won't they? Go n see wats up in Ameerpet, u go bow.........

M sorry if v bin too blunt n discouraged some1, I just gave me opinion wc cld b wrong anyway....afterall weytin I sabi? We r all here to gain more.

Truthfully speaking, u said well, in fact, wellest! I agree wiv u, but wat about d area of infotech like u and ajanlekoko are now suggesting. As far as Naija unis are concerned, I don't even want to go near dem in dat area of technology thing. I'm gainig knowledge here o!

Anytime anyday in nigerian Msc in EE is valued than MSC in physics unless u re planning to work outside nigeria with your physics certificate
marshall4: Telecommunication: Msc Physics Or Msc EE After
MCITP by marshall4: 1:43pm On Apr 09 Good day to everyone on this forum. Please I need
your suggestions as it will go a long way in
deciding my career. I had my Bsc in physics at Delsu
and currently undergoing 1yr advance diploma
programme on system engineering (comptia A+, N
+ and MCITP-EA) I intend to do my Msc in the future but currently confused on which path to follow. Will
masters in electrical/electronics Engineering (option
in Telecommunication) be okay? or is there any
option in physics dwelling wholly on
telecommunication? Please I need any suggestion
relating to the I.T industry....thanks

Which one is communication physics?

It's an option in Physics at the postgraduate level.
