Is It Wrong To Predict Doom Or Disaster? by Joagbaje(m): 9:32am On Apr 10, 2012
There have been so much attacks on prophets like TB Joshua by religious men . Many claim his prophecies are negative. To start with he doesn't always make "negative" prediction. He had made many positive reductions, scientific discoveries just like three strange holes he predicted will emmetge on Jupiter last year which accurately came to pass. Scientist all over the world were amazed.

But all these apart, prophets are seers. And watchmen. If you are an intercessor, you shoukd understand ,God shows such people things ,negative and positive . But mostly negative. God won't show you rain will fall tomorrow, but he may show an impending disaster so that you can warn or intercede. Some predictions are judgement and can't be changed . From my study of the bible negative predictions are more than the positive ones. Why do we now criticise people for negative predictions.

Is it wrong to predict impending danger or disasters .Is there any prophet of the bible that didnt predict danger ,evil or disasters . Is it wrong to to predict such? . Can we back up these attacks with scriptures . Do you labelled a man false for predicting impending evil? Let's start with Jesus .

Is it wrong to predict doom or disaster ? No. This is what you are supposed to be doing as a prophet, but only within the context of the words of God. You have to study to show yourself approved to God (2 timothy 2 vs 15). Once you are approved, you will know all the infractions and all the consequences to those infractions and then you prophesy doom and disaster within the context of that knowledge. As such the recipient of such prophesy can change their ways. JEREMIAH 28 VS 8 Long ago, the prophets who preceded you and me prophesied wars, disasters, and plagues against many countries and great kingdoms

However Gods time is different from mans time. Scripture says 2 PETER 3 VS 8 With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. scripture also says ECCLESIASTES 8 VS 11 the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil. NUMBERS 14 VS 18 The LORD is long-suffering

Based on the 3 scriptures above, it is hard to tell when judgment will be executed against the recipient of a disaster. all you can do as a prophet is prophesy against the recipient. it is not your duty to say when the disaster will happen because such knowledge is not privy to you. When you start getting specific about dates and times and places and people in your prophesy, then you may just be JEREMIAH 2 VS 8 the prophets prophesied by Baal

From my own knowledge of the bible, it is not wrong to prophesy doom or disaster.

Infact, that was the central points with the prophets of old, perhaps to call

people to repentance.

Instead of seeing the criticicms as attacks. . .why not view them as 'opinions'?
I am sure there are many other things TB Joshua can be attacked for.
Not just his so-called ability to prophesy doom or gloom!
For one. . .he is a doggone IRRITY first-class, with several GRADE A++++ attachments to his disgusting persona!
All I did was mistakenly view his nauseating being on TV and I knew for sure he was a major A-hole.
No offence. Just my opinion!
The fool was giving out bags of rice to bribe his congregants. . . mostly spiritual and material indigents, if I may add. kiss

Daniel gave specific dates and time. He gave exact date for christ to be born. He gave exact date for the death of christ.

Daniel 9:25-26
Now listen! It will be 49 years plus 434 years from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One comes! Jerusalem's streets and walls will be rebuilt despite the perilous times.
"After this period of 434 years, the Anointed One will be killed, his kingdom still unrealized... and a king will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. They will be overwhelmed as with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end.

THE ERA OF DANIEL WAS THE TIME OF THE LAW. THE SPIRIT OF GOD, THE COMFORTER, THE WORDS IN THE BIBLE, THAT IS, HAD NOT BEEN PUT TO PAPER. IT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEEN PUT TO PAPER. THE PROPHETS CHOSEN TO PUT IT TO PAPER, THE ELECT MEN, GOD GAVE THEM SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS. THE WORD HAS BEEN PUT TO PAPER NOW. THE COMFORTER IS IN EACH AND EVERYONES HOMES NOW. SO THE LORD DOES NOT GIVE PEOPLE SPECIFICS ANYMORE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO NOW IS LOOK INTO THE COMFORTER AND THEN TRY TO GAUGE THE TIME WITH EVENTS AND PROPHESIES BY WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND YOU. AND CERTAIN BOOKS LIKE THE BOOK OF REVELATION AND DANIEL LET YOU KNOW WHAT TIME SPAN YOU ARE IN. LOOK THE BOOK OF DANIEL CHAPTER ELEVEN TELLS YOU THAT EGYPT WILL BE ATTACKED FOLLOWED BY LIBYA IN THE VERY LAST DAYS, FOLLOWED BY IRAN AFTER WHICH THEY WILL BE WIPED OUT BY CHINA ( THE KING FROM THE EAST ) AND RUSSIA ( THE KING FROM THE NORTH ). SO WHEN YOU FOLLOW THESE BOOKS YOU CAN ALMOST PREDICT WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE WORLD. THIS IS THE JOB OF A PROPHET. TO READ THESE THINGS AND THEN WARN THE PEOPLE ABOUT WHAT IS COMING. SO THE LORD GAVE SPECIFICS TO THE PROPHETS WRITING THE BIBLE. HOWEVER ANY PROPHET AFTER THAT HAS TO LOOK AT THE BIBLE TO PROPHESY. TB JOSHUA GOING INTO SPECIFICS ABOUT PLANE CRASHES OR WHO IS GOING TO DIE THIS YEAR ETC ETC. THIS IS SATANIC. THIS IS NOT THE WORK OF THE LORD.
