Hi guys. Here we are again. Another admission processing is starting soonest. Here are few information which are needed to know and Note.
1. Kogi State Uni's Jamb cut-off is 180. (atleast it has been so for years).
2. I heard Medicine as a course will be taken starting from next section (November,2012. God's Grace).
3. Post UTME Cut off for different courses differs and it changes yearly. It starts from 40+ for some courses in Natural Sciences.
4. Ksu's postjamb score is not tedious and the calculation is perspicuous. They base it on 100%. 40 (jamb is 400 remember, so 10% of ur jamb's score will be whatever over 40. And 60 is for the computer base post utme score.
5. Start Calculating Your possible score in post utme (atleast halfway). Eg. For someone that has 230 in the concluded Jamb, based on our afore illustration, you already have 23.0% over 40. So the other 60% remaining, if u try and have 45 in the computer based utme test, your total will be 23+45= 68/100. Which is a very good point.
6. The Post utme test is gonna be on computer as usual, 30 questions which will be for 30minutes, the questions are random. For Social Science students, you are likely to see 24 english questions, 3 Current affair and 3 for Maths. So dont hit the panick button.
7. Post Jamb has been 3 months after Jamb,Meaning it shud hold around June ending/July beginning.

@Adewale, Glad to have you around. @Ikanium, I honestly dont know Microbiology's Post utme cutoff mark. will find out for you. But it was not up to 50 during the last admission (the cutoff might be more than lastyear's own). So, you have 18.8 over 40 now on ground. If you can score 40+ in the post utme. It would be cool. Its the post utme exam that really helps. I have a friend that applied for ksu last admission, she scored 223 in jamb. She messed up in post jamb and scored 20. Suming it to 42.3. She didnt get admitted ooo. She applied for Microbio as well. Meanwhile, Change of Institute tinz ends this Friday. You'l need to do well in the pume. Be prayerful and hopeful. You'l make it.

Gslim, d answer lies wit ur post utme performance. Gud luck. U got 19/40 down. It wud only be a slight increase sha IMO. Like extra 5 marks. . @Ikanium. Is ksu ur second choice? Dey are unpredictable sha. Dey didnt tell anyone not to choose her as second choice. Dey drove dos who selected dem as second choice off on post utme day

@Mozez. Well well. You got 18.9 down. Do well in ur post utme cos dat department (microbio) had like 40+ as cutoff mark last admission. Natural Sciences courses have Low cut-off Marks compared to social sciences.

Thanks alot, by God's grace i wil perform beter than 2010 pume wch i got 46.5. But by then my o'level Bleep me up nd my mistake ws dat i didn't defferred my admission. Thanks once again.

Mozez, looks like we were once both in the same ship. Lmao. In 2010 wen I first applied for KSU, I scored 222 in Jamb and 51.20 in post utme. Got admitted as well for masscom which cut-off was 48. My O'level screwed me up! Lol. Twas not even good to make it qualify for deferment. Didnt loose hope. Started affresh in 2011 wit 212 in Jamb and 61.20 in post utme. To God be the Glory...

Courses in Natural Sciences have less score to qualify someone for admission. About 40+ will get u on track. But score higher to increase ur chance.
