I disagree with you there. I really do see Bayern progressing for two reasons

1) Madrid face Barca at the Nou Camp this weekend and somehow feel that tie would take it's toll both physically and emotionally(which could only get worse if they so happen to loose that game). Bayern on the other hand have all but given up on their title chase.

2) I don't see this Madrid side keeping a clean sheet. Not when they have to come out and chase the game and also with the Little Matter of Robbery to contend with

Madrid weren't playing like they cared about the match in the first place, I think they were more focused on meeting barcelona on saturday and I think madrid will finish it off on April 25th at the bernabeu.

And, athletico madrid was a big game because madrid stood a chance of losing la liga there and then without even facing barcelona and ronaldo should have scored the first goal today but at least he assisted.

Please, don't use this opportunity to start the "ronaldo doesn't show up in big games" campaign because he's been excellent for madrid this season.

Out of the two sides, Madrid will definitely feel the effects of exhaustion more. I bet Madrid would have done more chasing tonight than Barca would do over both games(Chelsea and Madrid) plus the Jet Flag factor would count against them. Woulda copped more Air miles than any other team.
