American film and Television actors, Morris Chestnut alongside a couple of other Hollywood colleagues including Lynn Whitfield and Maya Gilbert, will make special guest appearances at the eighth installment of the annual African Movie Academy Awards in Lagos.

Addressing journalists on the details of the upcoming award ceremony scheduled for April 22 2012.

The academy’s Chief executive, Peace Ayam-Osigwe also revealed that the ceremony stage headliners will be multiple award winners Asa and Tuface.

Great that Chestnut is coming. However, what is his contribution towards developing Nollywood and the clowns we have as actors? Or is he just coming as a guest to enjoy himself? Whichever way, goodluck to him.

The Best Man,Boyz in the Hood,G.I Jane,Scenes of the Crime,The Cave,Castle,etc. He's a very good black actor. I would compare him to Taye Diggs.

Why would the organizers have to book him a crappy hotel in the first place? Jeez! He is not the average Nollywood star that would accept anything shiit!

He is right: Eko Hotel is crappy. It is a shame that Nigerians are so accustomed to mediocrity that businesses now offer mediocre products and services at first rate prices. Why criticize him for refusing to stay in that crappy Eko Hotel that is still living on its past glory? Radisson Blue and the Sheraton Suites are much better.

The Intercontinental Hotel should be open soon and should provide 5-star accommodation for guests who are willing to pay the price.
