Guys jst so api for dis thresd atleast wil nw b pourin out my concerns, jst read tru VNTI earlier today dat d green form wil b filled, den d transcript attached to it and den it shld be taken down to d dept u applied for, I av submitted all dat is necessary abt 6wks ago buh due to ds new development it seems I shld be heading back to IFE next month n take dos document myself to my dept(computer engineering), jst need to let u guys knw. |

Dos asking questions on der chances of admission, u can narrow down dos fears wt ds few info I had some time wt d HOD of my to be dept at IFE, told him wat r my chances like wt ma result, he told me dis major stuffs 1) Make sure its an upper credit and above you are using to apply 2) Your transcript and other credentials must get to them before its closure 3) Verify that your course of study at ur previous institution is accredited, else even with a distinction you might be denied of the admission 4) Ur scores on courses dat are relevant to d course u are appplyin for av to be from 60 and above(example if you are applying for engineering course, ur maths and relevant courses shld have high scores on your transcript avin a 50 in GNS dozent affect ur chances. Guyz... I will be at OAU tomorow to submit my new transcript.... (Remember I had problems with the older one). Was shocked to hear the "submitted to the department of choice" all over Nigerian websites yesterday. And oh! not only that, also saw "purchase the form" and in some other places there are CRAZY "post DE form".... etc I would have asked my H.O.D. to be over e.mail but having had over 10 conversations on email before, I guess I need to free him. WILL BE AT OAU TOMOROW, Monday.... |

@ ursa23, still on the same issue help inquire about the rumour, to know if we're to go pick up our transcript from d registrars office nd resubmit in d dept (coz some of us submitted there, nd i also here dat its now being collected in d admission office). and importantly help get a contact phone number through which one can confirm if one's transcript has reached OAU (for those who posted their's). Guyz... Here is what I've found out so far. 1. There is nothing like "purchase of green form"... it is free 2. The new green form is kinda new... neat, printed unlike the Fuckedup photocopied ones that were available 2-3weeks ago (U know what I mean olammy90), but all thesame content. 3. Even the new green form is submitted at the admissions office... I suppose they will be the ones to forward it to various departments just like I thought before. 4. Submission of transcript is still on going, and to the best of the knowledge of officers at Registry, There is no closing date.... aside, They only just started First Semester Exams and admission process doesnt end until when tge academic session ends (say September). 5. The officers at the registry wont give their mobile no. as "Students abuse it". and I can understand why. The best way to confirm if your transcript was received at OAU is to confirm if it was sent in the first place from your school. 6. Forgot to ask about the first list stuff, but from my point of view... It should not be later than 1st week of October, giving JAMB is gaining grounds more and more about uniform academic calenders in Nigerian Universities (and they are strict about it this time). For example, it was JAMB that directed all Universities to conduct post UTME before June 27 (and as you can see, they are all complying). 7. Ultimately, there is nothing like Post DE.... to my own delight. The battlefield for admission should be level. Post DE is an avenue to sideline poor me with a merit. 8. @ ursa, all your info are very accurate, up to date nd complete. my friend just filled his form too nd he submitted his Transcript to the Registrar's office just as we all have done earlier. The status quo still remains, i wonder where all these so-called forums nd sites are getting there sour stories. all the same i have the spirit of d ''Great Ife'' flowing in me already. of d Greatest Ife! |
