Hi, Nairalanders. I would like to buy an AUDI A3 (97/98 models) and I want to know if its a solid car to buy in terms of maintenance and ready spare parts and fuel consumption. I'l need solid opinions especially from current and previous users. Thanks |

Which model year do U̶̲̥̅̊ have in mind? The audi A3 is technically a badge engineered Vw golf with a better interior.there are numerous engine options within the range in both petrol/diesel guises paired to either manual or automatic transmissions. Most are front wheel drives but some variants are equipped with Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system for extra traction. |

it's a solid car all round, I prefer the newer version though, just make sure you get one that has been well maintained problem is everyone and their mother will tell you to buy a Honda or Toyota 1 Like |

That's a first generation Audi A3 (it rides on d same platform with the Mk4 VW Golf and Mk1 audi TT)...u didn't mention the engine/transmission type,mileage. Anyway..avoid any high mileage one with the 1.8T engine (they hv sub-par reliability). |
