temmytanny:
yes,you have to do so but i will advice you write a note along with your form telling them you are engaged with a child but not yet legally married. That would be in there record and would also make your application for them to join you in future easier.

Thanks, may God bless you..

Hy all dv winners
In last days I send my form to KCC. Still
I didn't get any reply from KCC. Hoping,
I 'll get soon. Now I hav a Questions.
My father name in my all certificate
(ramesh chand) is printed without
family name but on my citizenship card
(ramesh chand bhusal) my father name is print with family name. My problem is tht I
didn't filled my father family name in
ds-230 form. Would it create any
problem?
And 2nd thing: my mother's name is
different in my school(rita devi)
certificates than citizenship card(sunita
devi bhusal). And I filled her name
according to certificate on my ds-230
form. I filled ds230 form according to my school certificates. Will it create any problem at interview? will I need to make a certification that those
both are my parents or what? I'm very
tensioned so pls pls
Any one give ur
best advice on this matter. Thanks

Brod............
Still av problem filling DSP 122 I don't av any work experience at all
Re: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by Ibracadabra: 5:17pm On May 26, 2012
@ Garvins- u don't need work experience if you have got none... Leave it blank. Hope you have your WAEC at the barest minimum... With your WAEC (5 Credits at least), you qualify via education- which in all honesty is a more straightforward process. I am not using any work experience, even tho I have worked for a few years already... I'm sticking to my degree... So no need to fret. You'll b aii

Re: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by Ibracadabra: 12:28am On May 27, 2012
@ chio; I think DHL costs vary from state to state... I sent mine with N12,820 ... And with regards the bar code sheet, it simply means that u print out your Notification letter and send a copy with your forms and passport
Re: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by temmytanny(m): 5:05am On May 27, 2012
@jonanal, you interview will come up in october if am not mistaking cos your CN is very very low,so get document ready now and start preparations.
KCC will send you an email asking you to visit the lottery site to log on your CN to read the mail they have for you.
If you are single, your interview may be based on your education, work experience (if any),and maybe general question about yourself.

@Chio,you will use 2' X 2' passport size(2copies).

If DHL is too expensive for you,you can use NIPOST cos it wont cost you more than N750 but just make sure its registered with them. NIPOST maybe take longer days but not more than 8days.

infact ur case is doubtful but not mandatory any subject at 5 credits precisely. The best is for you to have credit maths or english with higher qualification. My be informed that its game of luck on hand of consular that will interview. Moreover, you can ask your wife to register for WAEC (GCE) & NECO (GCE) which registration is on now & the result will out by february,if your interview is schedule b4 february you can postpone it. because someone cann't predit what consular can do . Pls meet with consultant to put you through.

Tosmy...This are my comments based on what is written in black and white by the US Consulate in Lagos & KCC

BASE ON YOUR WIFE'S RESULT(5 CREDIT WHICH SHE USED TO GET ADMISSION FOR NCE) SHE IS QUALIFIED SEE ANALYSIS

Base on the requirement below. All you need is a proof that you completed secondary school even if you dont have a credit with your secondary school testimonial to show that you finish secondary school. Then you can use the other result with 5 credit to complement.....

Education Credentials
Those who have successfully completed high school must take the West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations to receive their diplomas or enter a university. The examinations are scored on a scale of 1 to 9, with 1 being the best and 9 the worst. To enter a university, the applicant must have received credit (a score of 1-6) in five subjects. For diploma programs, he or she must have received 3 or 4 credits. Scores of 7 or 8 are only ordinary passes and give no credit. A score of P8 or F9 indicates failing. There is a national WAEC office in Lagos where all results can be checked to verify educational level

See Link for details http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9704

Required DV Qualifying Education or Work Experience
The principal diversity visa applicant must have a high school education, or its equivalent, OR two years of qualifying work experience in the last five years.

Education: Submit to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at your interview, a certificate of completion equivalent to a U.S. diploma, school transcripts, or other evidence issued by the person or organization responsible for maintaining records, which specifies the completed course of study. The diversity visa selectee must have completed a 12-year course of elementary and secondary education in the U.S. or a comparable course of study in another country, sufficient in itself to qualify a student to apply for college admission. The following are not acceptable:

•Equivalency certificates (such as the G.E.D.) are not acceptable.
•Vocational degrees that are not considered a basis for further academic study will not be considered equivalent to U.S. high school education.
