Former Mo Hits star Dapo “D’banj” Oyebanjo was recently in London and decided to visit the Chioce FM studio to hang out with popular presenter Max.

He opens up on his post Mo Hits venture and his new name with the delectable radio presenter, who takes her time to pick on the Nigerian music icon’s use of the word “kokolette”.

Spotting a new “jesus piece” handed to him by the CEO of Good Music, Kanye West, D’banj gives a hint on his new partners to the highly british-accentuated presenter and endorses her remix of his hit song Oliver Twist .

The poster of this topic is not an honest person. I just watched that video. D'banj never said he had changed his name. He only said his British friends had given him a name which is " Daniel Anderson" just like his Jamaican friends call him "ski banj", his Ghanaian friends call him "Mensah", his South African friends call him " Capella" etc.

Talentless indeed. D'banj is a local champion. He only has one US performance to his name I believe, excluding weddings and private functions. P-Square, 2 Face, Bracket, Flavour, and Timaya, have all done tours in the US. D'banj is still singing in Manchester and London like that's the only place Nigerians dey lol. Even Wizboyy and J Martins are coming to the US this summer. It's one thing to be arrogant and good, but Don Jazzy made D'banj. D'banj isn't a good singer. He isn't a good rapper. His lyrics aren't mind-blowing. He's a great businessman and knows how to dress. That's about it. Arrogance will be D'banj's end. I pray he proves me wrong.

What exactly is peoples problem with a guy moving on in his life by changing label. Beyonce, MJ and so many other have even fired their dads.

But did you notice that the people you listed are talented? There's nothing wrong with his move, I just don't think it's wise to have gone on without the person that made you. Beyonce can sing and dance. Michael Jackson could sing and dance. People loved the D'banj/Don Jazzy partnership. Don Jazzy made D'banj with those beats. MI has lyrics, so if he rapped without music, people would still be going crazy. Take Don Jazzy's beat from D'banj, and what are we left with? "HA! HMM! KOKOLET!" His harmonica sef has gone into hiding.

D'banj your star will never drop. Keep up the hustle. Am proud of you.

Now i believe our educational system has reached an abysmal level. Somebody who doesn't know what he is doing made an ignorant and misleading posting and before you say Jack Robinson, a set of people just lapped on to it without making sense of it. There is no evidence of the guy claiming he has changed his name here.
