I can't really choose one, but I'll list the ones I can relate to.. - The express (The life of Ernie Davies). - Dreams of my father (Barack Obama). - Malcolm X. - 2pac in his own words. - Muhammed Ali. - The mighty walk (Prof. John Henrik Clarke). - Black Consciousness (Steven Bantu Biko).. These are inspirational rags to riches stories of people who look like me, with no opportunities - but they survived against all odds.. I can relate to their struggles, trials, and tribulations.. It's a pity there is no Nigerian on this list... But I admire Kaduna Nzeogwu, and Chief Obafemi Awolowo. |

Riff-Raff:Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglas: An American Slave by Frederick Douglas and Richard Wright's Black Boy. When you read these books you weep for Blacks that were slaves in America and the horrors perpetrated by the then Ku Klux Klan. Hope I spelt KKK correctly though. Still shuddering!!! |

Wooooow!!! So impressed to see that some people still read books. I have been really lazy of late and haven't completed a book in over 2months (I do at least one each month). Well I think I will consider one of these books. Maybe The Black Boy. Because it appears it has the most read biography. I have read and enjoyed a whole lot of those books and I must confess, they helped me one way or the other. Please (everyone) someone should suggest the best 3 biographies to read between now and June. I love books and that has seen me having over 300 in my small library. Thanks in advance. |

I realized that the OP said 'biographies'. Most of us threw 'autobiographies' into the mix. Since the OP is yet to correct us, I guess this is not a problem. 1 Like |

virgo: I realized that the OP said 'biographies'. Most of us threw 'autobiographies' into the mix. Since the OP is yet to correct us, I guess this is not a problem. Not a problem at all. Whats the difference between you writing your story and someone writing it for you. I see no difference, as long as correct content get published. |

The Holy Bible – Story about my creator and his expectation of me. This book has been for my doctrinal knowledge, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. My second best is “Autobiography of Malcolm X”, as told to Alex Harley. A great book that launched me into a great self discovery. |
