Role and Responsibilities

Based in our Lagos office, you will play a leading role in delivering the full commercial potential of PERFORM’s global leading football site, Goal.com in West Africa. Your key objectives will be to develop commercial opportunities with advertisers, sponsors, and distribution partners across the region with support from our HQ in London. This will involve working with consumer brands, mobile networks, handset manufacturers and media partners.

You will be accountable for commercial and day-to-day sales operations within the above sectors for Goal.com in West Africa; day to day activities to include the following:

• Assist with the sale of display advertising, sponsorship and video advertising s across Goal.com and other Perform services
• Identify and develop new advertising/sponsorship opportunities with key regional partners
• Ensure delivery of all financial and non-financial KPI’s
• Manage key strategic relationships with mobile network operators, aggregators, media agencies and major sponsors
• Work effectively and in partnership with our current agency and brand partners, local Goal.com editorial teams and management team in London
• Help create a strong team culture working towards the company’s goals, ensuring delivery of individual as well as Group targets
• Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders within the business
• Provide weekly reports with details of actual, pipeline and projected revenue
• Develop initiatives to grow Goal.com traffic across the region.


Skill requirements

• A minimum of 5 years experience in media advertising sales with recent experience of digital media an advantage
• Proven track record of negotiating and delivering multi territory/market sponsorship initiatives for global brands
• Demonstrable understanding of the digital landscape and robust relationships with football related brands in West Africa
• Proven track record of exceeding targets and objectives
• Experience of working across a range of West African territories
• Proven experience of working within a sales team
• Strong track record of delivering strategic projects and involvement in industry firsts
• Highly ambitious, results driven with a proven commercial acumen
