An eye witness has confirmed to me that there was an explosion along Lekki-Epe express road, after Ajah lagos that there was an explosion this morning (18-05-2012). The informations emanating from there are still sketchy, he does not think it was a bomb anyway.

The coincidence and proximity is getting too close for comfort.

Sad news coming from the Sangotedo area of the Lekki-Epe Expressway Lagos this morning.

A tanker has exploded burning cars and people. It was reportedly conveying cylinders with chemicals. The fire service appears to have been prompt on the scene but number of casualties not yet confirmed as traffic remains in a standstill.

Coincidence: Boko Haram, Port harcourt Explosion and now Lagos.
Proximity: Moving southwards.

It's really not an explosion but a case of fire disaster probably from a fuel tanker. It was under control by fire-fighters by the time I pass there. About 5km from Ajah is the location.

Its boko haram! Its called planting of car bomb . Thats the tactics of the new boko haram trained in Yemen and Somalia

Carnage from the explosion as at 7:45am today on my way to work.

I saw it today it was a terrible accident. God have mercy on that Lekki-Epe route because there was another accident involving a Nissan Jeep and a Mac truck this afternoon around Abijo.

I was on that route yesterday when somebody facebooked it, although Sangotedo is before Ajah. Eeyah, Sangotedo is my regular route too. It's a pity.

What kind of "Chemicals" are we referring to, here?
For it to suddenly explode.....and the weather is not very hot, in the preceding few days!

Does anyone has "info" on how and why it suddenly exploded....even when it was inside drums!
Or was Baba Ayo using the Drums to convey Petrol?
