How many ladies here proposed to their man or have friends that proposed to their husbands?

Was with an old friend yesterday who recently got married and while gisting, he told me his wife proposed to him while they were dating.

Well, i really tried so hard to avoid this thread. Did you say pop the question? haha. That is one thing about most ladies. They'll rather die that propose to a guy and when the time is past, you start seeing threads like "I'm 28 and i need to get married" duh! When you had the chance, what happened to your mouth? Independent blah, 21st century woman yada yada, feminist blah blah, but when it comes to opening your mouth and proposing to a man, you remember he is the head. . . Bullshit!

I know several married couples varies in ethnicity, religion, and culture, where the woman have proposed to the man. They all are in a happy marriage. It has nothing to do with who propose first....traditionally a man proposes to the woman however many people are becoming non-traditionalist (which I heavily supports) and doing what makes them happy collectively.

I am totally against cookie cutter mentality of how each individual people should operate in their OWN LIVES. If following traditions make you happy then great! But do not shoot down others that doesn't think like you nor follow the same things as you do.

This is for everyone it applies to.

That's the point. . . Why do most ladies remember tradition when it comes to asking a man out, or proposing first?
