Thank you for the advice, but what are you still doing there then? Plus what kind of Visa did you enter with?

Boss, don't get it wrong not everyone that drop pieces of advice here is frustrated from the system, at times pple advise based on prevalent realities. Our fathers will advise on not to marry if you don't have a job, but most of them married when they were still in colleges. Tiwa Savage will probably advise other women now not to give birth for a broke ass man, but does that mean she should kill her son? With the economy climate in SA and unemployment rate being an all time high of 26.7%, I won't advise any new comer to come to SA, not because I am frustrated here, don't get me wrong, I don't blame anyone for SA's woes! But if you wanna invest in SA, I will gladly tell u, u are welcome, cos SA needs FDI and then you aren't dependant on the economy to get you a job, but, if u say because u don't have a job in Naija, and u wanna come to SA to do masters in order to get a job in SA, I will say don't. If it was 3 years ago or 4 yrs ago I will tell u to come

You are right, but most time, What is good for Taiye can never be good for Kehinde. Let them come and try their luck. People still make it big here in SA. Make sure you perfect your paper as this will not limit you to benefits. Perfecting your Working/Business Permit is a good way to start your journey. Anyway stick to Souty News for more tips

I am asking the question in line with your arguments that it is not worth it coming over there. So I wanna ask if PhD puts on in good stead.

This may be off topic...

Has anyone purchased something off Aliexpress for delivery into SA?

If yes, how long did it take? Is the postal system any good?

Thanks

If anyone is coming for a PHD, he shouldn't come because he wants to stay here, that shouldn't be the reason you wanna do PHD. If your reason of doing is based on the fact that you want to further your career or for the sake of further knowledge then pleas come and if other opportunities come along the way, then grab it. If u are coming only for other reasons like getting a job here or staying here then it isn't worth it

Its not about your certificate, getting a teaching job is about the kind of visa or permit you have

There is no tourist or vistors visa that can allow you stay in the republic for up to 3 months, unless you are accompanying a relative or you are on medical visa
