OP,if you really need to ask such a question in this day and age I doubt you'd even understand the answer. The implications would be overwhelming-do smth else less mentally taxing, anything to keep your mind asleep. |

Horus did u see that video i posted about hawass and his covering up of the facts? I hate conspiracy theories but it appears this one is indeed true. The man was given the right to decide who can see or interact with egyptian artifacts and they say he literally shuns anyone who even suggests trying to find if the first egyptians (earliest kings) were black....whats more is the US govt put him in power and is adamant that he keeps that position.. Thats craaaaaaaaaaaaaazy. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nubian_people "The Nubians (Arabic: نوبيون or نوبة) are an ethnic group originally from northern Sudan, and southern Egypt. The Nubian people in Sudan inhabit the region between Wadi Halfa in the north and Aldaba in the south. The main Nubian groups from north to south are the Halfaweyen, Sikut, Mahas, and Danagla. They speak different dialects of the Nubian language. In ancient times Nubians were depicted by Egyptians as having very dark skin, often shown with hooped earrings and with braided or extended hair.[1] Ancient Nubians were famous for their skill and precision with the bow.[2] They were hired by the Carthaginian general Hannibal in the Punic Wars to fight against the Romans for their horsemanship." interesting read... "History Nubians are the people of southern Egypt and northern Sudan, settling along the banks of the Nile from Aswan. They were very famous for their horsemanship, for which they rode their horses unprotected and held on by their knees, making them light, mobile, and efficient, and a good cavalry choice. Their Nubian language is an Eastern Sudanic language, part of the Nilo-Saharan phylum. The Old Nubian language is attested from the 8th century, and is thus the oldest recorded language of Africa outside of the Afro-Asiatic group." so they didn't speak an afro.asiatic language...INTERESTING. |

His lock is Perhaps the curious feature about this cultural expression, is that the youth side-lock is strictly an African custom, and the fact that the ancient Egyptians shared with Africans south of the Sahara this custom, is significant. https://sites.google.com/site/naomiastral/_/rsrc/1349305270753/ancient-kemet/trosetta-stone-the-tamahou/Not_Book_of_Gates.jpg 1 Like |

there is no doubt in my mind that the beja, Nubians, oromo and afar have continued on the spirit and culture of ancient Egypt. every time we look at them, we are looking at the past. the very dance they are doing in this video can be seen in hieroglyphs islam has changed the culture of the Somalis tho. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfuo0GACyqE Ancient egyptians used Animal fat, cow and goat fat for hair gel anyway enough of this genetics and Egypt talk for the moment or even day for that matter...moving RIGHT along!! |

More footage of the Beja people of Sudan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxbVlho8aEg Its been my dream since i was a child to study egypt up close in person. I always wanted to go to the pyramids, see the statues and walk where such a magnificent group of people once walked. but the more i study about egypt, the more fascinated I am becoming of the people who live along the nile valley TODAY such as: The Afar, Beja, Oromo (some), Mursi, Masaai, Kushites of southern Egypt and the Hamer peoples. They are the only people today who truly represent the ancient ways of the nile valley and the are the only people outsiders should study to know what it would have been like for the egyptians. Their equivalent in west africa (as far as egypt is concerned) would be the wodaabe (sub-fulani group), however because they do not live along the nile today, its best to stick with that region. One day my wish will come true. Until then i can only watch, read, and study about them Hmmm...maybe I need to make my own thread. |
