there is not fixed exchange rate. It dance between N159.80 or 90k to N160 maximum. So always assuming N160 anytime you want to do purchase

ok. Then zenith bank card exchange rate is cheaper (zenith rate is N158 to $1)

They say they use the interbank fx rate and this rate fluctuates like mad at times even higher than the parallel rate
last year i was charged at 167 when the black market was like 160

wat i do i purely use the visa card
i buy fx here in 9ja black market so i know my margins up front rather than arbitrary conversions which fluctuate

It fluctuates but I was charged
N8606.25 for $54 and N7573.50 for $47.52 when I used my GTBank naira mastercard to make payment on Saturday last week but I think UBA Africard is still better as you will be alerted immediately as I was double-charged $54 and $47.52 but thank God that I've collected my money back into my account by contacting cardservices@gtbank.com.
Their prompt reply was really commendable.

typically GTB uses what they call the interbank fx rate which is supposed to be less than parallel/black mkt but more than cbn by a small amt
