Hello Nairalanders, this thread is created for those who applied for law in OAU for 2012/2013 Session. The essence of this is to post our UTME and Post UTME scores and State of Origin and make projections on official cut-off marks, admission possibility, share information and render necessary assistance to one another. Consequently, if you applied for law in OAU post your scores (UTME & Post UTME) and state your State of Origin. Invitation is also extended to all law students in OAU, any nairalanders etc who got relevant information to share. Let's go aspiring lawyers!

I applied for Law OAU first choice, I got 226 UTME, 284 Post UTME and I am from Kaduna State. How many candidates are from catchment and Educationally Less Developed States? Post your your scores and state let's discuss!

My younger bro scored 235 in JAMB and 208 in post JAMB while his friend scored 245 and 276 in jamb and post jamb respectively.They r both from Oyo State,and i hope they both got admissn.Good luck all!

law's cut off will be around 275 this year. from the look of things law aspirants scored very highly in that putme. Let us hope those very high scorers scored comparatively low in utme then we may be looking at 270 but definitely not lower. Catchments areas will be revolving around 264.5 and 258.5 for elds.

Remember less than 950 people scored over 270 in the utme and given the number of top schools in the country I would say less than 100 of them applied to ife out of which around 45 applied for law. I guess only 25 of them passed the putme with only 10 having competitive scores in the putme.

In the light of the above, it would be reasonable to propose 265 as the basal score in the utme and 280 for putme the average of which is 272.5. The number of spaces available may shift it a little bit right or left.

Morufoye, indeed I'm impressed with your analysis and objectivity. If we could get a relatively accurate statistics of candidates that applied for law and their scores we may arrive at almost accurate projection. In my humble opionion, 270 maybe the cut off for merit. Reason being that many candidates who might have got above 260 in UTME never repeated that feat in Post UTME. Catchment may be around 262 to 265 while ELS around 252 to 253. Thanks for your comments and intelligence you displayed!

They did well considering the general performance. Let's hope that candidates with big UTME scores only few applied Ife or didn't perform well in Post UTME. As for one that got 245 + 276 is average is 260.5. He has a better chance to fall in catchment. All the best!

No one knows or sure about the exact date. However, rumour has it that it might be out on or before the end of first semester 7th July. Let's hope so.

Ekiti is catchment. So, you will get your law as the cut off from your state may likely be 255 to 256! Good luck!

ur aggregate is UTME + PUTME divided by 2. i.e 267+272= 539/2 = 269.5agg
