Our client is the largest market player within International Oil & Gas industry.With a global operations that is going from strength to strength and, as such, seeks an experienced, career minded Financial Accountant to join the well established team in the Lagos office.

This position will form an important role within E&A - Europe & Africa Region.

Reporting globally to the Regional Finance Controller (in E&A), locally to the General Manager based in Lagos and by proxy to Corporate Finance Control (CFC) and Regional Director E&A in Amsterdam Head-Office, this position will lead the accounting and support the commercial functions within the country.


Duties:
• Maintain a solid internal control environment with sound document retention/management practices and prepare monthly reconciliation statements for balance sheet accounts
• Direct and supervise the transmission of relevant documents and information to CFC office for further processing,
• Ensure tax compliance for Personal Income Tax; Withholding Tax; Value Added Tax and Corporate Income Tax liaising with the Revenue there over
• Perform continuous review and development of processes across the Nigerian office to improve both reporting and cost efficiencies;
• Ensure all payments are made in line with the company’s approved procedures
• Maintain a fixed asset register
• Liaising with external auditors, banking community, local authorities, advisors, and other partners,
• Cash collection and debtor control for staff, customers and WHT receipts
• Tender review and contracts management;
• Special projects as directed by the FM and CFO;


Requirements:
• High (post graduate) level of working and thinking;
• A strong commercial background;
• Experienced knowledge of tax laws and regulations (national must and international preferred);
• Experience in working autonomously and managing a team;
• Prior experience from a Big 4 Accounting firm is an advantage;
• Change management experience;
• Previous experience developing, implementing and improving internal control systems;
• Some Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems (eg. Navision).
• CPA qualified or equivalent;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Protocol /Logistics Officer
Location: Rivers State (Port Harcourt)
Salary: Dependant on Experience

- Airport Meet and Greet (with) staff on their Arrival in Country
- Daily Interfacing with staff at their various work Locations in PH,Warri or Eket - receiving Passports and other related documents
- Collection / submission of Passports, Green Cards and other important documents as appropriate
- Driving Staff to specific location when necessary
- Flexibility to travel at short notice to specific locations (e.g. Onne, Eket, Warri etc) when necessary
- Any other Logistic duties as may be assigned by Operations Manager
- Protect all approved internal and external stakeholders from the threat of extortion or harassment by official and unofficial agencies at designated Nigerian airports and border posts
- Supervise escort patrol
- Inform operations department of threat & risk observations
- Account for all assigned funds
- Prepare a monthly report on the activities at the airports

Reporting To: Operations Manager

- Required Skills:
1-2 years experience in protocol related duties
Military experience would be an added advantage
- Driver licence
- May be required to work outside normal business hours
