Our client and its associated companies offers complete investments in Real Estate, Financial sector and Hospitality industry, with their main line of business being Import and distribution of Rice, Sugar, Tyres, Fruit Juice and many other items imported from Europe and Asia. In order to meet their fast increasing market share, requires the services of Area Sales Manager.

QUALIFICATION: A good university degree

RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
Establish, direct, administer and coordinate the overall product marketing programs for all Products.

MAIN DUTIES:
• Attaining the market share projected for each product lines.
• Obtains Market Share by developing market plans and programs for each product within a territory.
• Influence present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trends.
• Maintains research data base by identifying and assembling marketing information.
• Provides marketing information / marketing guidelines to the sales team within a territory.
• Makes a monthly performance report by analyzing marketing activities and variances, and initiating corrective actions.
• Manage and Maintain Sales Department staff by training, appraising, counseling, motivating and developing programs within a territory.
• Review the annual performance and develop annual marketing plans / budget for all product groups as a contribution to the corporate planning / budgeting.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
• Min. 10 years post NYSC working experience in Food and Beverage or Tyre industry with at least 4 years in a Managerial position.
• Relevant professional membership is an advantage.

SKILLS &COMPETENCIES:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good problem solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas
• The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Experience of managing a team of at least 5 subordinates.
• Creative ideas
• Must be well versed in English (reading, writing and spoken English)

REMUNERATION: Very attractive package with sales commission.
