This does not hold for medical doctors and some other health workers.

i totallly understand hw u feel. i was lucky i got retained where i served. in a bank.

its nt easy at all. bt kp on looking, dear. n pray. God will def do smthing sooner than u expect.

there is No time limit attached to as when one will get work after NYSC, the only thing you do is to pray to God & keep on trying.but the most important thing is if you can lay your hand on any business no-matter how small , start it before you know it you will forget about looking for work.

Must it be a job after service? How about starting a business and employing others? In Nigeria and worldwide unemployment has been rising astronomically and I believe this "wait for a job attitude" isn't that effective nowadays.
Look around you, your environment, look within you, at what you are good at and what you can sell, build a small business round it, and if you are not 100% comfortable with the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, continue dropping applications and using your profits in developing yourself.
When the job comes you might not even want it anymore. Take your own destiny in your hands.
