Yes, that's the issue. And what people are saying is that there should have been a better way to dispose the debris, and not using it to fill up pot-holes around that crash site. |

Johnsinia: No I don't hate GEJ and who told you that would not be cleaned up ? The human remains goes to a proper burial site, I have stated that clearly. I am talking of the rubbles from the building. |
| Re: Lagos Fills Roads With Crash Site Rubble by Sisi_Kill: 3:43pm On Jun 08, 2012 |
alj harem: Okay, let's look at it from a sentimental angle - When people lose family members to illness, accident. . .whatever, they get to bury their dead and make peace with it. The families of the Dana Plane Crash don't have that luxury (for lack of a better word) they know somewhere in the middle of that debris, is their child, husband, father, mother, sister. The same debris being used to fill potholes, so every car that drives by, every foot that walks on, any bicycle, keke napep, okada that rides on that road is doing it on the remains of their loved ones. Can there be anything more disrespectful than that?!!! I won't insult your intelligence by trying to explain how filling potholes with debris from a plane crash can have grave (no pun intended) consequences on people's health. |
| Re: Lagos Fills Roads With Crash Site Rubble by alj harem(m): 3:43pm On Jun 08, 2012 |
One way traffic people. Maybe they want the rubbles from the building to go to the waste bin. senseless talk Again people would try to politicize this, typical. The rubbles with human remains would not be put on the roads. That is senseless and the propaganda nature. Tell me how any sane human being would do that |
| Re: Lagos Fills Roads With Crash Site Rubble by dayounce: 3:44pm On Jun 08, 2012 |
I believe there are developing areas that these hugh chock of debris from the crash scenes can be used for DEEP land filling, this way the organic content is given time to decompose underground and not cause an epidemic breakout, like it is now its bound to decompose n smell thereby releasing harmful elements into the atmosphere and cause illness,so much for government agencies lacking proper waste disposal strategies. Sometimes u wonder if we have health officers and environmental officers in this country! People just do thingf anyhow. No value for human life. Smh |

^^ Alhaji Harem, What is being debated here is whether it is right (HEALTH WISE) for the rubbles OBVIOUSLY WITH HUMAN FLESH to be used to fill potholes in the area. It is also disrespecful to the death and the bereaves. Do you now understand or... ![]() Sisi leave this guy abeg. |

| Re: Lagos Fills Roads With Crash Site Rubble by Beaf: 3:51pm On Jun 08, 2012 |
alj haram is just a dunce. @topic Does it mean the Lagos State govt can't find a site to bury the rubble? What would the World have thought of the US if the 911 rubble had been used to fill potholes? The crash was reported across the World and now this?! We are just going to be portrayed as uncivilised as soon as some foreign documentary crew can get hold of the facts and gaffes behind this bullshiit. Isn't it stup!d in the first place to fill potholes with rubble? They are meant to be properly fixed with the right aggregate and tarred. Shame on Fashola. |

So Lagoscians are probably driving over the remains of the dead, less than 6 days after the tragedy . . . Na wa oo . . . First they were molested by the thieves who did not even wait for their bodies to go cold before rushing to strip them of all their possessions. Now the state, or some ignoramus, is using part of their remains to fill roads so that Lagoscians can drive over them ?? Abeg say it ain't so. |
